Surprise, surprise! Sam Golbach POV! honestly, I had more fun writing in Sam's point of view. He's hard to get a read on, but that might be because I've been focused on Colby, since I think we have similar insecurities.

So naturally, I kinda watched more of his content, but I still enjoy seeing them together and Sam, who continues to worry me whenever he runs right into danger. I literally bite my nails when Colby doesn't do anything and lets Sam run off into danger. This man will be the death of me lmao.

SAM

Sam pushes the door wide open for him and Corey to create room for the luggage hanging by their hips. Sam is quiet as he gently places the cases onto the ground, but Corey is a lot more vocal and intent on waking the rest of the house.

The blonde throws a dangerous look over his shoulder. Corey has voiced how uncomfortably-funny he gets when Sam adorns his straight face.
"Noooo!" Corey shields his eyes immediately.

"Do you guys have to be so loud? It's 2am in the morning!" Arron's rubbing his hands vigorously over his face before he goes straight as a pencil, now whisper-yelling at them. Sam tries not to let the smile threatening to bloom over his face when Aaron does that certain tic that sets everyone into a laughing fit. Aaron tends to walk into a room whenever he's displeased.

"Christ,  Aaron! Go back to bed, I'll tuck you in soon."
Corey ducks nearby the book bag he plopped by the door. Sam ignores his rummaging and takes his own ghost-gear up the stairs. He's got a lot of unpacking to do.
"Did you guys get good footage?"
Sam wiggles his eyebrows as he teases Aaron on the subject.
"You'll have to find out with the rest of the fans."

"I'll ask Corey then." Sam feigns nonchalance as he shrugs the bags closer. Opening his door is easy. For the rest of the night he unpacks and catches up on much needed rest.

  •••

Sam gives his scalp a good scrub and rings his head back to help rinse the last of the suds hanging by his hairline. This shower has been a must this past weekend—Sam groans into his hands every time he thinks about it. He's still spooked when he got startled by Colby. The odd stranger they saw in the lobby before their night began, and then when things were getting interesting, albeit dangerous.

Sam's not fond of the stories he was told about Paul. How the spirit came sprinting at two employees in the building working overnight. Sam runs a quick hand over his arm. He's fortunate he's under a fall of hot water, otherwise his body might been overrun by chills.
Should I text Colby? I have a month's worth of footage to get started on.. he has an appearance on his friend's first-ever stream later this week, so maybe he'll text Colby then.

"Time to get crackin," Sam dries off, and puts on a pair of sweats for the afternoon. Unless Jake or Corey decide to include him in a video for today. By the time he goes downstairs, Jake will be lounging on the living room couch or hanging in the kitchen with Aaron.
Sam needs a little bit of routine before he's able to fall into the full-swing of things.
"Yo! Sam Golback!" Sam can hear the excitement from the other side of his bedroom door as he settles into his desk-chair. He just sat down—"who is it?.." Sam peaks over his monitor as the door comes swinging open. Jake is chewing on a type of food as he travels toward the nearest vacant chair.

"I heard everything!" His shaggy dark hair is brushed back as he fixes a friendly smile on his friend. Sam's not sure how he should respond. He hasn't even spoken to Zach yet. So should he keep Colby a secret until his producer comes to a conclusion? "Ah—,"

"Don't tell me, let me guess," Sam stares at Jake as he hesitantly continues doing what he intended on doing for the rest of the day, working. He'll be stuck to this desk for a while, answering emails, and the last details involving the house.

Hold the phone,—Sam picks his phone up to scroll over his messages yesterday morning. Colby texted him last night, which the blonde responded with similar likeness to ghost-hunting. So, including Colby in future videos is not far from the future.
"Who's the gal?" Sam shoots back into his chair. He hadn't noticed how far he hunched over his phone. Jake sits at the edge of his seat, finishing the last of his snack. "It's 2023,"
"Sam Golbach, you've only dated woman ..thus far. Don't fuck with me, brother."

"..."
"..."
"Sam!"
"Ja—Jake!"
"Sam!"

"You continue to shock me, brother." Jake stands up to pressure the blonde into spilling the beans. He slams his hands down, and that smirk spreads farther. Were Jake's canines always pointy? Sam berates himself for thinking those dimples are charming on Jake.
"It-it's nothing," Sam holds the phone close to his chest, and that's the first mistake when dealing with Jake Webber.

"Your special Sammy, it's never nothing with you. Now spill!" Jake reaches for the phone and Sam pushes himself, and the chair farther into the room. "Ok, ok, on a serious note, is this person a serious love-interest of yours?" Sam stops short as he plants his nervous feet onto the seat. He's tucked his knees close to his chest.
Should he say anything? Jake doesn't spew crap when it counts—"I, I met someone at the Stanley hotel. I don't know them well enough to harbor any romantic feelings, alright?"

"But they were sexy, huh?" Jake snorts when he notices those blue eyes stare back at him as if he's been caught stealing a cookie from the cookie jar.

"Jesus, Christ.." Sam lets the phone drop into his lap as he rubs his hands over his eyes. Jake is looking at him as he waits for his friend's response. "You have it bad, brother.. they weren't a ghost? Are you sure you aren't a ghost? Cause Sam Golbach would never date a man unless the worlds ending, he's possessed or—,"

"Ok! I get it, that's not true, alright?" Sam licks his lips into a tense line as he swivels his weight so he's facing the world map. "I just thought.. I could try. God, maybe I am possessed? Like nothing would make me attracted to a guy unless it's supernatural right? ..I don't know him that well either."

"Ok, ow, you hold the phone buster," Jake picks his phone up, and before Sam can snatch it back it's placed in his hand, literally. Sam shuts his mouth.
"How do you think men become attracted to a woman? Obviously you find them attractive, make a move, ask for a number or mutually agree to eat each other's faces."
Jake shrugs the last option as he throws his weight back into the chair. Sam zones out as he retreats back to a shared moment between him and Colby.

"Maybe I can like guys..—no, just, heh— him,"
"There we go! Ok, I'm off to meet up with Tara! Talk to you later?" Jake makes a beeline out the room and Sam is guffawing after him as he moves to stop him. Sam immediately thinks he better not.
He should text Colby.. right?
