‼️ Warning(s): blood-drinking

More Sam and Colby moments coming! :)

COLBY

Colby sat back into the couch cushion after returning from the wolves territory. Johnnie is standing close by, leaning against the doorframe leading into the front room.
"..so what's the plan? Cause there's no way in hell you're just gonna let them pressure you like that." Johnnie thumbs the direction over his shoulder, aware the other vampire can't see him. He rubs uncomfortably at his chipped nail polish while waiting, and Colby lets the question sink in before breaking the weird tension with a deep exhale.

"No, yea, you're right. I have someone I want to protect Johnny, and whats different, is I—I barely know, Sam," Colby breaks off when he speaks the blonde's name comes up in the conversation, aware of how tense he feels waiting for his friends' reaction. Can he choose his longtime friend over a human he's attracted too? He sees flashes of images whenever Sam pops up in his life. His light blue eyes just a shade lighter than his own, and his dusty-blonde hair accentuating his doe-like eyes during their second conversation in the hotel room.
"I want to get to know him, and before I knew it, I let him take ahold, of like, my heart. I invited him here. His being here changes everything." Johnnie hums as he climbs over the couch and sinks into the pile of pillows as he listens intently. Johnnie's eyes are comically wide as he absorbs a new tidbit about his friend he normally isn't privy too.
Colby can't help the goofy smile, slowly though it dwindles when he realizes Jonnie's fascination isn't letting up.

"Is there anything special that makes this place, different.. from yknow, other haunted places you've visited? Before you were a vampire." Johnny pulls his legs up after depositing his shoes onto the carpet. Colby watches him with interest before he really lets the question sink in.
"Limestone is a good source of energy, but you can summon just about anything in any spot given the right, like, instruments—"

Colby is curious where his friend is going with this.
"There are witches here and other vampires like myself, and the woods.. can be strange. The weather is always changing and it can change within seconds.. similar to a living creature."
Colby snaps his fingers as demonstration and delves deeper into the madness that is his home.

"Lucy resides here now. There are cabins that date back to the 1700s but She's unclear about who's lived there. A couple years back it was used as a camp grounds, and now they're abandoned." Colby joins Johnny with tucking his legs onto the couch. He leans his head all the way back until it rests on the backrest of the couch.

"...have Lucy spy on them?"

It's Johnnie who breaks up the silence mixed between them. It's not an awkward thing they both deal with, keeping up a conversation. It works for them as they sit in the dark space with the curtains drawn closed. The candles are the only sources of light sitting on the front room table.

"We can ask her.. Lucy, are you nearby us somewhere?" Johnnie makes a straight face when he hears his friend's voice darkening in pitch. Johnny remembers this morning, His friend has the meanest ways of waking him up sometimes.
"Co—lby! ...and bitch-boy! Hmph!"
Johnny Guffaws,
"Excuse you! Colby, she's so mean.."
"Then stop acting like such a coward!"

Lucy's figure is somewhat distorted and her voice sounds like static as she comes through.
"I am no—maybe a lil', but!"
Johnnie's voice gets high as he goes to explain himself, he sits up as he peers at the girl.

"Stop, Lucy, I need a big favor to ask of you."
"What is it?"
"We need you to spy on a group outside of the Witches forest.. they're just squatting on the edge of the witches forest."
"Fine! But you have to promise last night ever happened! Oh, let me hang onto this coward for a week!"
Lucy points directly at Johnny, both Johnnie and Colby stop moving. As Lucy extends her arm out, Colby catches the way a candle blows out.
"Why me?! Ugh—this is a drag.."
