Chapter 8: Attempt

Piccolo went to the outdoor pool with Makoto as he lay on the bench chair, having a relaxation in the shade. Ami and Gohan went swimming while Makoto went to get something to drink.

It was strange Motoki had moved to Bahia de la Luna to get a job. And for what reason? Oh, wait! He wanted Makoto back, so he would drift their relationship apart. Well, that is not going to happen anyway. He made sure he didn't get tricked by Motoki. First of all, how will he tell Makoto about Motoki being here at the hotel? He didn't want to ruin her day by telling her that her ex was there.

As Piccolo was trying to relax to forget about everything, he noticed Videl and Sharpner coming into the outside pool, which surprised him.

What the!? Videl and Sharpner!? What are they doing here!? Don't tell me they got the invitation to Bahía de la Luna, do they? Piccolo thought in shock.

"Picco, is everything okay?" Makoto asked as she came back from getting herself a drink.

"Sharpner and Videl are here," Piccolo warned, pointing at where they were.

Makoto blinked in shock to see them. "Uh oh...! Gohan and Ami aren't going to be happy if they see them."

"That is true, but probably they already knew they were here," Piccolo said.

"I figured," Makoto replied.

When Ami was done swimming, she went to get herself a drink from the soda machine. It was then she encountered Videl. She didn't have time to play a game with him.

"Hey there, Ami," Videl greeted her, acting like she was happy to see her. Ami was a bit uneasy to see her. Of course, she had punched her in the face since Christmas Eve.

"What can I do for you, Videl?" Ami asked, trying her best to stay guard.

"I wasn't here to threaten you. I just wanted to say you two have been a great couple since the last time I saw you. I was wrong to think you had stolen my Gohan from me." Videl said.

She gave her a confused look, becoming suspicious of her. "What is that mean?"

"I wanted to say I apologize for doubting you. Look, I understand you don't trust me for this, but you will see about this." With that, Videl took off leaving.

What does she mean by that? Ami thought.

Videl came back to see Sharpner after acting out on Ami.

"How did it go? Did she buy your act?" Sharpner asked.

"It will be too easy for her to fall for it once we get them into breaking up," Videl said.

"What will you do now after you spoke to her?" Sharpner asked again.

She let out an evil smirk. "I will make Gohan fall for me again, so he will dump her just for me at last."

Ami left again to get something from the hotel room when Gohan was now alone. Suddenly, he was given attention by Videl with her swimming suit on. This time she was wearing a black bikini.

"Why, hello, Gohan," Videl greeted him, trying to be sexy.

He gave her an annoying look. "What do you want, Videl?"

"Look, I was wrong about you two. You guys are a great couple." Videl said, trying to act out on him.

He gave her a confused look. "Thanks... I guess... but what's that supposed to mean?"

"I apologize for everything. Look, I understand you wouldn't forgive me about what happened, but I just wanted to make it up with you as friends." Ami said.

"I see. Well, that is nice of you to say, but I still won't forgive you for this about seven months ago. We can be friends instead. And don't forget I belong to Ami." Gohan said.

Videl sighed. "I knew you were going to say that." - With that, she took off ready to climb the diving board - "Welp, I'm going out swimming."

Then Videl tried her best to impress Gohan as she climbed the diving board before she could jump. However, she was giving him her attention by making him watch her jumping off of the dive board. When she dived into the pool, Gohan was almost impressed. Instead, Ami came back with with small ice cream bowl.

"Gohan, I'm back. I brought you some ice cream." Ami said as she handed him a bowl of ice cream.

"Guess, thanks, Ami. You're the best girlfriend I have ever had." Then Gohan gave Ami a sweet kiss on the right cheek, making Videl jealous in anger. She knew this plan didn't work. She must find a way to make Gohan fall for her again.

At the same time, Piccolo had already watched the iconic scene when Videl tried her best to give Gohan her attention by divining in the pool. Instead, Gohan only laid his eyes on Ami who offered him a bowl of ice cream.

He let out an annoying 'tch' before he continued to relax himself in the shade. Whatever you're doing, Videl. Gohan would never fall into your tricks.
