Chapter 16

Bella and Ferran triumphantly reached the finish line first, securing their victory in the game. As the rest of the teams trickled in, Bella looked around and realized Pedri and Emily were missing.

"Where the hell are Pedri and Emily?" Bella exclaimed, her worry evident.

Gavi, eyes wide with fear, said, "Omg, what if dinosaurs ate them?"

Ferran gave him a skeptical look. "Gavi, you know dinosaurs are extinct, right?"

Gavi shrugged, trying to cover his embarrassment. "Umm, well, then maybe a bear got them."

Bella groaned, rolling her eyes. "Omg, shut up, you two. We need to find them."

Ferran placed a reassuring hand on Bella's shoulder. "Babe, we can't jump to conclusions. Maybe they just got lost. It's okay, they'll be here soon."

After 2 hours

Bella's worry intensified. "But something could have happened to them! It's been two hours. I can't just sit here."

Jack approached, overhearing the concern. "It's okay, we've had people get lost before. Don't worry, we'll find them."

Back to pedri and Emily

As Pedri and Emily knocked on the door, an old lady suddenly appeared behind them, startling them both. "Hello, are you looking for someone?" she asked kindly.

Pedri turned around quickly, startled. "Umm, no, actually we are lost. My girlfriend here felt tired because she has asthma, and we couldn't keep walking in the dark."

Emily glanced at Pedri, then added, "Umm, yeah, we're from the camp station."

The old lady smiled warmly. "Oh, I see. Don't worry, this is my second house. You can stay the night here. If you need anything, my main house is just down the street."

Pedri and Emily both sighed in relief. "Thank you so much," they said in unison.

Emily then asked, "Please, do you know a way to contact my friend? I'm sure she is worried about us."

The old lady nodded and handed her phone to Emily. "You can use my phone. Here you go."

"Thank you," Emily said, taking the phone and dialing the Bella's number.

Back at the camp, Bella, Ferran, and the others sat worriedly when a phone started ringing from the box where they'd all placed their devices. Bella's eyes widened. "Omg, that's my phone!"

She saw the caller ID was unknown. Ferran urged, "Babe, just answer it."

Bella picked up the phone, her heart racing. "Hello?"

She heard Emily's voice on the other end. "Bella, it's me! We're okay. We got lost, but we're safe now."

Bella's face lit up with relief as she heard Emily's voice. "Emily! Thank God. We were so worried about you. Where are you?"
