Chapter 24

As Emily and Pedri woke up that morning, they realized it was their last day in Tenerife, Canary Islands. The sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room.

Pedri stretched and smiled at Emily. "Good morning, love. Can you believe it's our last day here?"

Emily sighed contentedly, snuggling closer to him. "It's been such an amazing trip. I don't want it to end."

They suddenly heard Fer's voice shouting from downstairs, "Lovebirds, breakfast is ready!"

Emily laughed, shaking her head. "I'm going to miss him and his antics."

Pedri grinned, pulling her in for a quick kiss. "Yeah, he's something else. Let's go enjoy our last breakfast here."

As they headed downstairs and sat down for breakfast, Pedri's mom, Rosy, sighed wistfully. "Ah, I can't believe it's your last day."

Emily smiled warmly. "We've had such a wonderful time. Thank you for everything."

Rosy beamed. "It's been a joy having you both here. You must come back soon."

Fer, already at the table, chimed in, "Yeah, and next time, maybe stay a little longer."

Pedri laughed. "We'll definitely be back. This place feels like home."

As plans for the day were discussed, Rosy said, "I thought we could have a barbecue with family and friends. What do you think?"

Fer and Pedri exchanged glances and then grinned. "Looks like you and Emily already planned it, so what's the point of asking us?" Pedri teased.

Pedri's father laughed and added, "Oh, boys. Just go along with it. It'll be fun!"

Emily smiled, feeling touched by the effort Pedri's family put into making their last day special. "A barbecue sounds perfect. Let's make it a day to remember."

With everyone in agreement, they began preparing for the afternoon barbecue, eager to spend their final day surrounded by loved ones.
