Emily stepped inside the house, a look of confusion etched on her face. Bella, lounging on the couch, looked up and asked, "Oh, Emily, how are you?"

Emily sighed, her mind clearly preoccupied. "I swear, I don't understand him. One minute he's nice and caring, and then he says stay away from me. And now, he kisses my neck," she said, touching the spot where Pedri had kissed her.

Bella sat up, waving her hand in front of Emily's face. "Hello, Earth to Emily," she said, trying to snap her friend out of her daze.

Bella's eyes widened as she realized what Emily had just said. "Wait, Pedri kissed your neck?"

Emily nodded, "Yeah, on the bruise, before I got out of the car."

Bella's excitement bubbled over. "Oh my god, that's so romantic! But wait, he has a girlfriend."

Emily sighed, "Yeah, I know. I don't know what he's doing. You know what? I'm going to sleep. Good night."

Bella tried to stop her. "Em, wait—"

But Emily was already heading to her room. "Good night, Bella."

Bella texted Ferran:

Babe, tell your dear best
friend to stop playing with Emily.*

What happened?

He kissed her neck—I mean, the bruise that was on her neck—and she got home confused and ditched me, went straight to sleep.*

Oh, Pedri. I can't with him. He likes her but keeps lying to himself.

Just tell him to stop. He has a girlfriend.
