Chapter 19

As Emily stepped into her house, Bella came running up to her, excitement written all over her face. "Oh my god, finally!" Bella exclaimed. "Don't you dare say you're going to sleep. No, we are going to talk about everything!"

Emily laughed, shaking her head. "Okay, okay, let me just change and we'll sit and talk."

Bella nodded eagerly. "I'll make some iced coffee."

Emily smiled and headed upstairs to change, calling back, "Alright, I'll be down in a minute."

Once Emily changed into something comfortable, she joined Bella on the couch, where two glasses of iced coffee awaited them. Bella's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she handed Emily a glass.

"Alright, spill. What happened?" Bella demanded eagerly.

Emily took a sip of her coffee and began recounting the evening. "Well, after we left the camp, Pedri took me to his family's house. It was a surprise visit, and his mom, dad, and brother were all there."

Bella's eyes widened. "Oh my god, you met his family already? That's huge!"

Emily nodded, smiling. "Yeah, it was unexpected, but they were so sweet. We looked through old photos, and his mom even showed me some embarrassing ones of Pedri when he was little. It was really cute."

Bella leaned in closer, hanging on every word. "And then what?"

Emily continued, "At dinner, his brother Fernando teased Pedri about us dating, and Pedri said, 'Not yet, but soon,' and looked right at me. His mom was so happy, she hugged us both."

Bella squealed with excitement. "That's adorable! So, are you guys official now?"

Emily shook her head. "Not yet, but Pedri said he's taking me on a date tomorrow.

Bella grinned, practically bouncing in her seat. "This is amazing! I'm so happy for you, Emily."

Emily laughed, feeling a rush of warmth and excitement. "Thanks, Bella. I can't wait to see what happens next."

Bella took another sip of her iced coffee and leaned in with a teasing smile. "So, Emily, how do you feel about Pedri?"

Emily was about to respond when her dog, Leo, jumped onto the couch, nestling between them. Bella laughed, petting Leo. "Looks like someone is feeling jealous, hehe."

Emily giggled, scratching Leo behind the ears. "Oh, Leo, don't worry. You'll always be my number one."

Bella continued to chuckle, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "But seriously, how do you feel about Pedri?"

Emily looked thoughtful for a moment, then smiled. "I really like him, Bella. He makes me feel special and appreciated. Tonight was amazing, meeting his family and seeing how much he cares about me."
