12:00 P.M- 7th day of the final selection

*BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

The loud siren noise awakes the sleeping Tanjiro who almost falls off the branch he's sitting on.

"Holy shit that's loud..." He thinks as he groggily gets down from the tree and starts heading to the stairs

"I wonder if Kanao took my advice"

Tanjiro then continues walking, lost in his thoughts until he reached the base of the stairs.

"Damn... I actually did it"

Upon climbing the stairs and reaching the clearing at the top, he finds the rest of the competitors waiting to pick out their nichirin ore or sword.

In the future since there are way more demon slayers only the top 5 people who scored the most points were allowed to choose their own ore, the rest were given a previous slayers sword that had diedbeen refurbished, not as personal but good enough.

"Will the following please proceed to the table" Said one of the Ubuyashiki sisters (Who Tanjiro just noticed)

"Kanao Tsuyuri"

Before the sisters could continue, Kanao's fans cheered.

"Even now?? Though I can't say it was unexpected of her" Tanjiro thought

"Please refrain from interrupting. Now, Tanjiro Kamado, Inosuke Hashibara, Yuji Itadori, and Satoru Gojo (I just needed names fr they don't come up later)" They finished

"I got second???? I only killed like 15 demons"  Tanjiro thought as he walked through the crowd to the table where he found Kanao just now choosing an ore

As Kanao points to the ore of her choosing, a Kakushi picks it up and takes it away. Kanao then proceeds to walk out, but before she passed Tanjiro she whispered in his ear.

"I used my heart"

Of course it sounded easy when she said it but it took a rather large amount of her willpower to do it.

With that she walked off leaving Tanjiro with some very angry teenage boys glaring at him wondering what in the world THE Kanao could possibly whisper to him.

"So she did follow my advice" Tanjiro thought with a little smile on his face that sadly didn't go unnoticed by Kanao's followers in the crowd

"Hey what are you smiling about!" What did she tell you!"

"Uhhh n-nothing!" Tanjiro says quickly as he uses his sense of smell to find the ore which emanates the strongest scent of sunlight.

He frantically points to the one of his choosing before he speed walks towards the exit. However he's grabbed on the back by none other than Inosuke.

"OI! JUST CAUSE YOU GOT MORE POINTS DOESN'T MEAN YOUR STRONGER YOU GOT THAT I'LL FIGHT YOU AND I WILL WIN!" He shouts

"Holy loud" Tanjiro thinks as he recoils from the noise.

"Yes of course I'm looking forward to it" Tanjiro replies through his shock with a smile.

Inosuke grumbles and turns to choose his ore which Tanjiro takes as his cue to leave before he's overrun but the Kanao stans.
