"I'm gonna die soon! I'm really weak so cut me some slack, just protect me until I get married!" Zenitsu wails

Tanjiro calms himself down before starting over.

"How about we start with introductions yeah? I'm Tanjiro Kamado"

"I'm Zenitsu Agatsuma. You must help me Tanjiro!"

"Woah woah what's with this help me stuff?? You became a demon slayer to help others not to get others to help you"

"Why are you such a weakling?" Tanjiro continued

"WAHH !DONT BE SO MEAN!" Zenitsu cried

"I was swindled by a woman and she put me deep into debt, an old man took on that debt and made me his pupil" He explained

"Must've been someone like Urokudaki..."

"Life was hell! Endless training so bad I wanted to die! I thought that if I failed at final selection it would be over... but I somehow passed and now everyday I'll have to fight scary demons!" Zenitsu whines

Zenitsu then proceeds to breakdown and cry while Tanjiro tries his best to comfort him.

"You want something to eat? Perhaps it'll help you calm down" Tanjiro asks while the two walk towards Tanjiro's mission

"Uh yeah sure, thanks..." Zenitsu says with tears still in eyes

Tanjiro gives him a rice ball that Zenitsu proceeds to munch on, having the desired effect of calming him down.

"Hey man I know how you feel about feeling weak and all but don't harass woman or anybody for that matter" Tanjiro says

"Yeah I know I just wasn't thinking right" Zenitsu admits

—-TIMESKIP—-

Outside the tsuzumi mansion

"My mission is about disappearances and there's the smell of blood coming from this mansion" Tanjiro says with a hand on his blade

"Smell? What smell? Do you hear that sound?"

"Sound?" Right as Tanjiro said that two children appeared behind a bush close by

"...children" Zenitsu deadpans

"Why are kids all the way out here??"

"Man they look really scared"

Tanjiro kneels to get closer to them and a closer look. The older one was a boy wearing a black jacket with a red shirt and jeans. The younger one was a girl who was wearing a purple sundress.

"Hey relax... I'm not going to hurt you" Tanjiro says with the warmest smile he could muster

"What happened here that caused you Teo to be so scared? Is this your house?"

"N-no... it's a house-house of m-monsters!" The boy stammers out

"It took m-my older brother in the middle of the n-night when we were ou-out walking"

"I see... so he's in that house?"

"Y-yes"

"And you two followed him? Wow I'm impressed!" Tanjiro praised, trying to give the kids some semblance of comfort
