8:00 A.M-The same day as the Kamado family massacre

Tanjiro was still walking around aimlessly trying to get his thoughts in order but the image of his bloodied family wouldn't get out of his head.

He continues this vicious cycle of thoughts until he bumps into somebody.

"Oh uh s-sorry about that" Tanjiro apologizes

The man who was about 5,10 , with white hair, wearing a tengu mask and a blue coat with white clouds on it, responds "It's quite alright young man maybe you can help me with this" He says while pulling out a map

"Would you kindly guide me to this location" Pointing to a spot on the map

"Of course!" Tanjiro even though he had just lost his family hadn't lost his kindness

The Tanjiro takes the map and looks at it for a bit before telling the old man (or he assumed he was from the white hair) to follow him

"May I ask your name? I'm Tanjiro. Tanjiro Kamado"

"Sakonji Urokudaki"

---TIMESKIP---

"This is the address you pointed to Mr. Urokudaki are you sure this is the right place?"

Currently the pair were outside what looked like an abandoned warehouse

"I'm sure of it, I left my glasses inside could you please get them?"

"....Sure" While suspicious Tanjiro had no reason to doubt the old man

Right?

As soon as he entered the warehouse he was greeted by the sight of somebody hunched over something while an unnerving squelching noise filled the room.

Tanjiro tried to quietly approach the hunched over figure but his foot hit a knocked over pipe, making a loud bang and causing the figure to turn around.

Tanjiro knew at that moment that glasses weren't inside the building but a demon was.

"Well well well look what we have here more food for me"

Tanjiro realized that what the demon was hunched over turned out to be a body.

The sight almost made Tanjiro freeze up since it was so similar to his own families tragedy.

Almost.

Instead of freezing Tanjiro funneled his shock and pain into rage.

This resulted in Tanjiros mark glowing red and expanding to cover his right eye.

The demon lunged at Tanjiro, claws and fangs bared but Tanjiro rolled left and picked up the metal pipe he hit earlier.

Tanjiro then threw the bag on his back that contained his belongings at the demon to blind it before swinging his pipe like a makeshift bad straight into the demons liver.

"GAHH, that shit hurt! I'll make you pay" The demon shouts in pain

The demon then tackles Tanjiro to the ground and tries to claw at Tanjiro's chest but Tanjiro blocks the attack with his pipe before trying to swing at the demon, but the demon grabs a hold of the pipe and begins pressing down on Tanjiro with it. Even with the slayer mark Tanjiro couldn't beat a demon in a battle of strength.
