A Love So Playful

IV- Play Your Games

Nero and Skyler were in the cafeteria eating. Nero ordered a plate of pasta while Skyler settled for a piece of bread.

"Remind me again why you ordered a piece of bread of all the things you can buy in this cafeteria?" Nero said as he rolled his eyes

"I'm try'na stay fit" Skyler said with a confident tone. "Right..." Nero said as he pronounce the i longer. "Are you sure about that? It's not like you to buy small ammounts of food that tastes like nothing" Nero said with a sharp tone. "Yeah but I just wanted to have a better diet" Skyler

Then Nero noticed the black haired man enter the cafeteria. He stared at Kendrick until Kendrick's eyes spot Nero sitting in the corner with Skyler.
Kendrick suddenly pulls his head away and continued walking casually.
Nero couldn't take his eyes off the man until Skyler punched Nero's shoulder.

"Oww What the hell was that for?" Nero said in anger "Chill dude, I been talking for a while and you haven't been listening? What are you even thinking about?" Skyler asked in confusion. Then Skyler noticed that Nero was facing and looking at Kendrick's direction.

"Ohhh I think I know whats going on" Skyler said as laughter came out of his mouth. "You're attracted to Kendrick aren't you?!?" Skyler laughed and grabs his neck "Yiee my boy's falling in love again". Then Kendrick spots the two bestfriends casually joking, Nero saw him look at them and sighs and walks away.

"Let go man!" Nero avidly stated as he flicks his arms away from his neck.
"Ohhh you're offended, that means it must be true!" Skyler stated with a smile and breaks out a laughter.
"Hell no!" Nero shouts as he punches Skyler's shoulder. "Oww what was that for?" Skyler said as he rubbed his shoulder.

"I'm not inlove ok!?! Its adoration!" Nero said in frustration. "Adoration, love, same thing!" Skyler said as he bites at his bread. "No its not! Love is a strong word, Adoration is used to describe ones emotions for someone who they find skilled or has a great character". Nero stated. "So does love" Skyler said as he chewed the bread.

Oh god, this idiot is really pissing me off

"You know that I don't want to enter a relationship after what happened to me and James?!?" Nero said in a sharp tone. "Yeah but you can't deny love, when it comes you can't do anything but fall hopelessly inlove" Skyler said.
"No! That's not how love works! Love has to go to a process of trust" Nero said. "Trust? Don't you mean lust" Skyler joked and it made Nero extremely pissed. Nero punched Skyler yet again and it made Skyler choke on his bread.

"You pervert!" Nero angrily replied. "Bro I was just kidding, dont take everything I say seriously" Skyler said

Nero continued to eat his pasta ignoring the previous frustrating conversation he had with his best friend.

"By the way, its 12:56, its almost Club time, have you decided which club to join?" Skyler asked "Yeah I decided to maybe join Ms. De Leon at Literature and Arts Club" Nero answered. "Nice, I'm joining the Math club, you know how great I am in math right?" Skyler asked with a smile on his face. "Yeah but you can't compare to my brains" Nero said confidently. "Say that to my six pack?" Skyler exclaimed as he pulls his shirt up to show his six pack.
"Gross! Put that away" Nero said as he bursts out a laugh. Skyler also laughed.

Then the bell rang. The two bestfriend parted their ways as they went to their designated club. As Nero walks across the hall looking for the Literature and Arts Club, he suddenly walks passed the Gamers United Club and saw Kendrick playing online games in his computer. He stopped for a bit to see what's up.

Then Kendrick spotted the brown haired student watching him from the window. Kendrick smiled at Nero and it made Nero return the gesture as he walk away, Kendrick follows the brown haired student walk passes the room until returning to the game.

Never gets old...

Nero made his way at the end of the hall and spots his room. He enters and Ms. De Leon spotted her.

"Oh hi there Mr. Springfield? Have you come to join our club?" Ms. De Leon was so happy to see Nero wind up in his club room. "Yeah I did" Nero stated and Ms. De Leon bursts into joy and pulled his arm. "Jolly good! Come meet the others!" Ms. De Leon exclaimed as she pulls her to the other members.

"Everyone, this is Mr. Springfield, the one I told you all about!" Ms. De Leon said. "Hi!!!" the members greeted Nero with a warm welcome.

"Mr. Springfield, you don't suppose have your novel with you right?"
Ms. De Leon said with a curious but smiling expression. "Uhh yes I-" Nero said but he was interrupted as Ms. De Leon shouted and jumped for joy. "May I take a look?" Ms. De Leon asked "Sure" Nero said as he pulls out his novel from the bag. Ms. De Leon takes the book and starts to read the first chapter.

After a while, Ms. De Leon read the whole chapter and was thrilled.

"Mr. Springfield! You have a talented mind! Your novel is breathtaking!" Ms. De Leon stated as she looks at Nero with a excited face. "Thanks for the compliment" Nero said nervously.

Nero was never good at taking compliments as he underestimates himself of everything. He had quite a low self-esteem but seeing the smile on Ms. De Leon's face made him believe on what she just claimed.

"In fact, I love it so much that I would love for it if your novel becomes the story that my theater students will perform" Ms. De Leon stated making Nero exclaim "Really? I would love to!" Ms. De Leon was so happy and started to read the book continuously.

I can't believe it, it's just my first day but so much has happened. I think I made the right decision choosing this school.
