Math class came to an end. The students made their way downstairs into the locker rooms to change uniform. From blue pants and white polo into a blue and white PE Uniform that were given to them.
PE? I hate PE...
Nero absolutely hates PE, he doesn't like when he gets sweaty and tires himself so that will be a problem. Nero and the other students changed clothes, and went into the courtyard.
"This PE uniform's too snug, almost like pajamas" Nero says while judging the uniform "That's because you just hate PE" Skyler said as he raise a brow "True but still, I feel like I'm about to go to bed" Nero said as he sighed.
Then they arrived at the courtyard and saw their teacher.
"Good day students, I'm Coach Roberts and I will be your Physical Education teacher" the coach in a loud manner
"For today's agenda, I just want to see how you hustle, All of you will attempt to run 20 laps into the running ground" the coach said as he pointed to the very wide and extremely long course.
Fuck! 20 laps on that!?! Is that even possible?!?
"Now don't just stand around staring at me and start running!" the coach said as he blew his whistle. The whistle was the cue for everyone to start running.
Skyler started running but looks at a slightly upset Nero. "Come on dude lets go!" Skyler said with a positive attitude. Nero didn't pay attention and ignored his best friend. Then someone taps his shoulder. Nero was alerted.
Please don't be him! Please don't be him! Please don't be him!
He turned around and saw Kendrick looking at him with a small smile.
"Shall we go?" Kendrick said with a bit of a joyful tone "Yeah uhm lets go"
Nero said as they start running towards the crowd of students running.
Dammit! I can't believe I'm running
"You don't look happy about this?" Kendrick said with a worried expression. "Yeah I'm definitely not"
Nero said in an angrily tone. "Oh, sorry I been a bit close to you, If you want me to distance myself-" Kendrick said with a frown but was interrupted by the brown haired man saying "What? No, I'm not talking about you here, to be honest I feel great when I'm with you, I'm just talking about this running thing" Nero said as he looked at Kendrick's direction. "Oh, right" Kendrick said as he gave the man a smile.
"What's wrong with running?" Kendrick asked "There's nothing wrong with it but I don't like running to be honest, I'm more of a academic guy and not an athletic guy" Nero stated. "Well, yeah but you do believe your a great student right?" Kendrick asked as they continued running.
"Yeah, maybe, no, I don't know..." Nero said with a doubtful expression. "What do you mean you don't know? I've seen you do things that no average student can do, If I do say so myself you're really something special and that makes you a great student" Kendrick said with a smile.
Oh gosh! His words just took me to heaven! I felt like I'm flying in the air!
Then Nero suddenly trips and falls to the ground. "Oof" Nero groaned as he hit the ground. Kendrick was shocked. "Nero!!!" Kendrick shouted releasing his loudest voice yet. Kendrick's voice gathered the other students attention.
Dammit, I tripped, I can imagine Kendrick's face looking at me
"You alright Nero?!" Kendrick loudly said as he takes his hand to take Nero's hand to help him stand up.
"Yeah I'm good... oww" Nero stands up but has a scar in his elbow and his uniform was now dirty. "Gosh Nero, you scared me for a bit" Kendrick stood him up and dusts off Nero's uniform that's covered in dust.
"Thanks Kendrick" Nero said and gave Kendrick a smile. Kendrick smiles back and pats Nero's back. "Don't mention it, but can you still run?" Kendrick asked with a worried face.
"Yeah I still can" Nero and Kendrick continues running but Kendrick immediately notices Nero has pain in his knee.
"You're hurt Nero, let's stop running" Kendrick said as he pulled his hand and walks to the coach who was eating an egg sandwich.
Oh god, Kendrick's pulling my hand. You're such a gentleman.
"Coach, Mr. Springfield tripped and got injured, may we be excused to fix his injury" Kendrick asked with a blank expression and a deep voice.
The coach replied "Yeah go ahead" Kendrick walks Nero into the medical clinic which is just near the courtyard. They reached the bed and made Nero sit.
"Oh no... Nero, your elbow, it has a scar and its bleeding badly" Kendrick worriedly stated "Yeah I know" Nero said as he resisted the pain he was in.
"Don't worry, I'll clean it so it wont get infected" Kendrick says as he turned around to grab cottonballs and hydrogen peroxide.
"No!!!" Nero shouted "Why no?" Kendrick asked as he raised a brow.
"It's painful" Nero nervously said.
Kendrick lets out a small smile.
"Yeah it's gonna hurt but I will be here to keep the pain away" Kendrick said as he continued getting the materials.
What!?! What kind of game do you think you're pulling here Mr. Monteverde?!?
Nero looks at the black haired man as he walks closer with the cotton balls and Hydrogen Peroxide. Kendrick pours a generous amount of Hydrogen peroxide to the cotton ball.
"Don't move okay?" Kendrick said as he starts to rub it in his elbow. Nero
felt pain and starts to shout.
Fuck!!! How is this hurting me so bad!
"Ow!!!" Nero shouts at the pain. "Stay still Nero you got this" Kendrick exclaimed as he starts cleaning the wound. Then he finally cleaned the wound and throws out the cotton ball.
"Feel good now?" Kendrick asked "Yeah I think so but my knee is still aching" Nero said. "Just lie down and the pain will go away any minute now, until then let me give you company" Kendrick stated.
"You're not going back to PE Class?"
Nero asked as he raised a brow. "and leave you all alone here at the clinic? Over my dead body" Kendrick stated.
Nero smiled "Thanks Kendrick" Nero said as he looked at the man who helped him. "No problemo". They remained silent for a bit but Nero was lost in his own thoughts yet again.
Why is he doing this? First, he keeps looking at me, then he confronted me asking a hand in friendship, then he smiles at me even though he doesn't smile at others, then supports me, talks to me and here I am in the clinic with the help of him? Why is he doing this? Could he just want to be fast friends with me? Maybe, but the way he says stuff to me, that doesn't occur on normal friendships.
Nero was so confused. He couldn't point his fingers what really is the black haired man intention is?
I can't stand this being clueless why he was doing this to me! I have to confront him and ask him the question that keeps running in my mind.
"Why are you doing all of this"
"Hey Kendrick?" Nero asked as he sat on the bed.
"Yes Nero?" Kendrick said as he turns to face the brown haired man.
"I want to ask you something" Nero said
"Ask away?" Kendrick says as he fixes his sitting position to face Nero
"Why are you doing all of this?" Nero asked and it made Kendrick have a loss for words.
"Uhm" Kendrick hummed as he think very deeply for an answer
