XVII- Ex, Why and See

It was thursday, one day before the weekly exam. Nero slept in Skyler's home and both of them went to school at the same time. Nero was still sad but he never spoke about his feelings to anyone, even Skyler. He never mentioned why he is down, but it seems Skyler already has a hint.

They entered the room and Sherich and Kendrick was not in their seats.

"Wheres Sherich?" Skyler asked Atasha

"I don't know, she still hasn't arrived" Atasha answered with a worried expression.

"So is Kendrick?" Skyler stated.

Then Mrs. Javier arrived. "Class, before I go to our lesson, I have announcements! First of all, Kendrick Monteverde won't be attending class anymor-" Mrs. Javier rushly stated but then the students exclaimed.

"What!!!" shouted the students

"How come Mrs. Javier?" Levi asked

"It seems his father doesn't want to be any part of our plans so he just home schooled him" Mrs. Javier stated

Nero was shocked.

This can't be happening! Maybe he doesn't wanna attend school because he doesn't want to see me anymore?
Levi did say that Kendrick doesn't love me. But I can't face the truth.

"Secondly, I found a key here in the classroom earlier and maybe it belongs to one of you" Mrs. Javier stated as she pulls out a key and it was Nero's apartment keys. Nero was shocked.

"Mrs. Javier! That's my apartment keys!" Nero said as he stood up to take the keys.

"You left your key in the room" Skyler said as he looked at his best friend with a smile.

"So far that's all my announcements for today, tomorrow is the exam day and I wish you goodluck! Now, let's go back to the lesson" Mrs. Javier said as she picks out her book

The discussion continued, subjects passed until it was recess. Atasha, Nero and Skyler were in the cafeteria all eating.

Skyler notices his bestfriend barely touching his food.

"Nero! Why are you still sad? You haven't even touch your food? Is it because your boyfriend isn't gonna go to this school anymo-" Skyler stated but was rudely interrupted by Nero

"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND! I mean, not anymore!" Nero shouted in anger as his expression gets sadder.

"I thought he said he will love me more than anything, fight for me, stay with me and never hurt me, but why is he doing this..." Nero stated

"I'm sure this is all just a misunderstanding, It will get sorted out, Im sure of it" Skyler stated as he placed his hand on Nero's nape comforting him.

Then it was club time, Nero was in the Literature and Arts Club with the other members. Ms. De Leon is no where to be seen, but then she arrived and went immediately to Nero.

"Nero!!! My dear! I have great news!" Ms. De Leon stated as he grabbed Nero's shoulders as she smiles.

"What is it?" Nero asked. "I showed your novel to professional theater critics and they loved it and want us to host a performance of your novel in the Grand Theater Festival in Paris.
It's gonna be hosted in Wednesday and I want you to come so I can introduce you to the theater masters!" Ms. De Leon stated which Nero got a bit happy as he lets of a smile.

"Really?" Nero asked as he smiled "Yes and that means we have to prepare the most extravagant stage props and costumes we could design!" Ms. De Leon stated.

Nero was so happy for himself and for Ms. De Leon, his dreams of being a great novelist will finally happen.

Time passes and it was already the end of school hours. Nero immediately took his stuff and went back to his apartment. He immediately laid in bed as he fantasize his life once he attended the theater festival.
