XIII- Not As It Was

Mrs. Javier is teaching her lesson when the bell rang which meant that Science period is over. The students all gathered their stuff to go to the computer lab for the next class. But Nero was worried for his boyfriend who still hasn't returned.

What could have happened to him!?!
He hasn't returned from the room and he missed the whole science class!

Nero, who was worried sick tried to maintain a chill expression before heading into the computer lab. He was the last one in the room and everyone has already left. Nero is already implored to be late because he already has permission to Mr. Rollon but still, he wanted to listen to his Tech. Teacher teach. With that, Nero rushed into the computer lab.

Skyler and Sherich arrived on the computer lab first but they were shocked to see Kendrick already sitting there.

"Kendrick? You're here already? You haven't even returned from science class?" Skyler asked as he raised a brow in confusion but the nonchalant man didn't answer and just looked away. Skyler and Sherich were confused as they looked at each other before sitting on their seats.

"Where's Nero?" Kendrick stated but doesn't look at Skyler nor Sherich.

"He's still in the room. When we left he was bothered by thoughts, I don't know any better on what he's thinking but I think it has something to do with someone really valuable to him worrying him" Sherich stated as she looks at the black haired man.

Kendrick was shocked by Sherich's words making him look to the blond woman and saw a serious expression in her face. Kendrick said to himself.

What!?! What does she mean... Does she know me and Nero are boyfriends?
If so, how? And if so, How did he read Nero's mind that he was worried about me? There must be more that meets the eye from Sherich Cruz.

Kendrick was staring at Sherich with a blank expression but stared a bit weirdly. Then Levi entered and saw a blank seat besides Kendrick.

"Hi guys! Is that seat taken? May I take a se-" Levi stated as he let's off a smile but was interrupted with Sherich and Kendrick saying "That seat's taken!". Kendrick was shocked but remained a nonchalant expression.

"Okay" Levi said as he smiled towards the three before heading up to the back row but before doing so, he stood beside Kendrick saying,

"Still as stubborn as ever ey?" Levi stated as he walks into the back row.
Kendrick maintained a nonchalant expression but was furious inside. He was very angry.

Why is he coming up with me like that!
What is his deal!

Sherich stares at the nonchalant man deeply. Then she said to herself,

Kendrick's heart is furious! How so? Is there something sinister about them?
Is he related to Levi? Does he know Levi? I have to find out more.

Then Nero arrives and greets Mr. Rollon who was still sitting in his chair.

"Good morning Mr. Rollon, sorry I was la-" Nero said in a worried tone but was cut off by his teacher replying "Don't be sorry Mr. Springfield, we aren't really doing something today because I'm preparing a lesson for tomorrow so everyone is free to anything they want to do as long as its quiet" Mr. Rollon stated. Nero nodded as he walks into his seat that Kendrick saved for him. Nero takes a seat. Kendrick gives his boyfriend a smile.

"Hi Kendrick, What happened to you earlier? I was so worried!" Nero stated. Kendrick was shocked.

What!?! Sherich was right!?! Nero did get worried about me!?! Is it just a coincidence?!? Or is there really something more to her than what's on the surface

Kendrick couldn't reply as he was being startled by his thoughts. Then Nero snaps him out while repeating his question.

"I just got dizzy, I went to the clinic" Kendrick stated as he looked away from his boyfriend who gave a frown.
"Oh... well that sounds bad". Then Nero starts to hold the man's hand but Kendrick takes his hand away almost like he was avoiding touching hands with Nero. Nero was shocked yet curious.

What!?! Why did he took off his hand! He is acting really weird. He is really not himself today! He wouldn't refuse if I held his hands. Maybe he didn't want PDA? Or he has something to hide?

"Uhh btw, Mrs. Javier taught a lot and you missed quite a big lesson, and you have to study it if you want to pass the exam so I suggest we go to my place to study and hopefully have some fu-"
Nero said happily with a smile in his face but Kendrick cuts him off

"Thank you Nero but that won't be necessary" Kendrick said in a blank expression. Nero was insulted and hurt. "But what abo-" Nero once again stated but was cutted off again by his boyfriend with a very sharp tone.

"I said thanks but no thanks Nero!" Kendrick said in an irritated tone as he didn't look at the man. "But why!" Nero said very hesitantly and grabs his arm. "I just don't want to do it okay!" Kendrick said as he shoved his boyfriend's arm with an angry tone.
Nero was devastated as he irritated hid boyfriend that made him burst out very painful words. Nero was hurt and remained silent and down.

Kendrick was emotionless on his facial expression but inside, his heart were in a mix of regret, sadness, pain, anger, confusion, anxiety and worried all for his boyfriend who he just hurted.

Sherich was 3 seats away from the couple so it was no way for her to hear their conversation but she looks at the couple. Then saying to herself.

What is Kendrick hiding! He would never hurt his boyfriend! He made a promise! But why did he just hurt Nero and denying his request just to teach him the lesson he missed! It's a small thing but why did he decline! Everything is getting more and more confusing!
