I followed the sounds of screaming as i pushed through the crowd to see what was happening. I was having a moment with Loren before she got up and followed the sound of glass breaking. My heart was beating so fast when I held her hand. I didn't expect to hold her hand but it just felt right in that moment. Where she was telling me about herself it felt very intimate. Vulnerable. And in that moment I wanted to comfort her. To hold her. To tell her it's gonna be okay. It was something very different because I've never felt like that with someone before. And it makes me scared whether I'll be able to handle it or not.
As i fastened my steps i saw Loren being smushed by a random guy. He was holding her hands against the wall and she was tryna get away from him. I froze at the sight of someone touching her like that. I wanted to tear his limbs off for laying a hand on her. I towered over the guy for a good inches just as I was about to grab his collar when another guy came and swung a punch at him that made him tumble and he got hit near the window. I saw Loren cover her mouth with her hands looking all shocked at the man. When that random guy picked up the man again she said "stop you'll kill him. Ryle get Outta here before I kick you out myself. You don't get to control who I hang out with. We're not together anymore."
The word together made me clench my fists together so he was her ex how dare he have the audacity to do that. The random man escalated ryle away towards the door and said "I'll take care of him."
I quickly rushed to Loren and said "are you okay? Did he hurt you?" As i looked around her body to see any bruise or worse blood. She said "I'm fine" as she stopped my hand to stop inspecting her then I saw a scratch on her knuckles. I sighed as I held her hand to pull her to the upstairs bedroom there was a first aid kit there. She started fighting me "what- where are you taking me?"
"You need this." I said as i opened the door. I made her sit on the bed and kneeled on the ground to take out first aid kit as i pulled a bandage over that area. She looked at me with doe eyes and finally said "th-thank you." I gave her a smile. I rarely smiled but this one just came naturally.
"Wow so you do have emotions after all." It's like she reads my mind. I sat on the bed and said "very funny." I wanted to ask her wtf just happened and before I did she said "that was my ex. He cheated on me and now he's begging me to take him back. I would never let him get that far with my hands held but he was drunk and strong so i couldn't do anything."
The word cheat made my chest tight it still remembered me of that night. The night where I caught dad cheating on mom when she was in hospital fighting cancer. I have absolute disgust for my dad. I did not get another call from him since the first day and I'm so glad.
"That asshole. You need to report him to the police or something." I made a mental note in my mind to deal with ryle later.
"I will." As she said that her phone pinged with a message and she said "it's Sierra she went home with Aaron and it's getting late i should go too." She got up and i checked the time 11:45. I blocked her way and said "I'm dropping you off it's very late you won't even find a cab rn. Besides after what happened you shouldn't probably go alone." "It's okay I'll figure-" "I insist." "Okay"

She was holding my waist tightly when I arrived at a hard stop near her house. She removed her helmet and handed it to me.
"That was fun and both scary." I chuckled at her. I looked at her place, It was a three story appartment. And on the third floor i saw lights that were on. "Is that your room?" I pointed and said. She looked back and said "yep." We paused in silence for a while until she said "good night and thanks for the ride and please ride safely." I watched her go up the stairs until she was finally in her room. I reved my bike and left.
As i waiting in the red light i saw ryle near the sidewalk and I wanted to go into this red light to him to make him apologize. But I waited because I saw Loren's face appear in front of me. When it was green i followed him and parked my bike. Luckily the motherfucker was actually outside my House. I grabbed his collar and put him against the wall "ryle. How dare you lay hands on Loren?"
His breath smelled of alcohol as he said "because i love her." "A person who loves someone doesn't helds the other person down." "She was not listening. Wait are you her new man?" I tightened my hand around his collar and said "listen man tomorrow you're apologize ing to her if you don't then you might find yourself in get the taste of prison. So better behave."
