Unexpected Love

chapter 12: getting played?

So basically I've been working on this chapter for 2 days because it's a very important chapter and i have so much in my mind to write. This chapter was getting very long so trimmed it a little bit. That's why next part will also be of Loren's pov.

Loren

I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror and tried to calm myself down. I didn't actually had to pee i just needed to get out of there. Before i did something stupid. Why tf was he flirting with me? Then i realised he flirted with at the coffee shop as well. What was going on? I'm still so confused about the whole Ryder and Avery situation and why am I stuck in between. It feels the more im tryna get out of this mess the more tangled up I'm getting in this.

I noticed my hands shaking. Both of them. I tried to calm myself down by putting a hand on my heart and taking deep breaths. Once i composed myself i reapplied my lip gloss and headed out.

I was greeted by a very drunk Sierra on the dance floor "why do you look sad?"

How did she? I'm pretty sure I washed my face and-

"Was it Ryder?"

"No omg Sierra. Everything's okay." I lied. I'll talk to her when she's sober.

"Where's Aaron?"

"He went to get us more drinks."

I chuckled at her "girl I don't think you need more."

Before aaron grabbed her by the waist and took her to the dance floor. I went to the bar again to finish my martini and hopefully Ryder wasn't there and he wasn't. I sat in those stool looking at everyone. Everyone with someone. Everyone in love. My hands tightened around the glass and i chugged the last of the drink.

I faced my back to the crowd just as I was about to pay, someone sat in the chair next to me and to my surprise it was Darren. I haven't seen him since so long he went on a little family vacation to san diego as i saw on his Instagram and no i wasn't stalking him.

He gave me a Charming smile and i gave him a hug. "Omg Darren how are you?"

"It's Been a while right?" He said smiling and looked down. When I finally noticed his outfit he was wearing a black shirt and tan pants. I did notice his first button was undone and his chest peeking out a bit but i quickly removed my eyes from there before he thought I was a creep.

"So how have you been?"

"I've been good as you already know i visited san diego with my family. It wasn't a family vacation my younger sister elle is going to sdsu so we were visiting her school."

"Oh i didn't know you had a younger sister. I bet you're the cool brother."

He chuckled and said "I'm a mixture of both actually." And then he winked at me. I mean don't get me wrong he looked hot doing that but for some reason i didn't feel anything.

Then he continued "can I pay for your drink? I saw you order a martini."

So the stalking wasn't one side. "You're not drinking?"

"Nah I'm taking a break."

Wow. I'm impressed.

He paid for my drink and just as we were about to leave he looked like he wanted to say something to me but before he did that arms wrapped around him. I somehow saw his face in the dark it was tom. He pulled Darren away because of course he needed to catch up with everyone.

I gave him a smile letting him know we can talk later.

just as I turned my head I bumped into ryder's chest. Why was he standing so close and when did he come? He looked at me with his dark eyes and said "can I have one dance?"
