*Alec's pov:*
It was 4 in the morning and I was just sleeping in my bed. I had heard noises outside of my house, but I thought nothing of it, that was my first mistake. I started smelling fire and smoke, but I thought it was my neighbors since they use their campfire sometimes at night, my second mistake. It took me 2 minutes to remember, that my neighbors had flewn to Florida for vacation. I jumped out of bed and looked outside of my window, that's when I saw 2 guys dressed in black, setting my house on fire. They saw me staring at them through the window so they ran away, but I had
noticed too late. The fire from outside had gotten in through my downstairs window and caught my bookshelf on fire and from there on, it spread EVERYWHERE. the downstairs was covered with smoke and the upstairs was getting covered too. So I quickly grabbed my phone and wallet, with my id, passport, and with my other important stuff in it and ran out of my house in my pjs. I called the firefighters and the cops, but when they came my house was already gone.. I had nowhere else to stay until...
*alec calls nick*
Nick: hello Alec..? (He's really tired)
Alec: hey Nick..
Nick: what's wrong..? It's like 4 am...
Alec: well uhm.. my house kinda got set on fire..
Nick: WHAT? ARE YOU OKAY?
Alec: yes yes- relax I'm fine, my house is burned tho.. and I don't have any other place to stay..
Nick: well what are you waiting for? Come to my house! It's freezing cold outside
Alec: wait- are you sure?
Nick: fuck you mean am I sure? OF COURSE I AM. Now get over here!
Alec: okay okay-
*7 minutes later, Alec arrives at nicks house, 4:17 AM*
*alec rings the doorbell and Nick opens*
Nick: are you okay? Are you cold? Do you need some tea maybe?
Alec: I'm fine Nick.. thanks for your concern
Nick: okay come in now! It's cold outside
*Nick pulls Alec inside and onto his couch and wraps him with a blanket*
Alec: Nick I'm fine- I don't need to be wrapped in a blanket
Nick: it's just so you don't catch a cold
Alec: well.. I'm grateful that you're doing this for me. Do you have a guest room?
Nick: No
Alec: okay, should I sleep on the couch?
Nick: No the couch is too uncomfortable and hard to sleep on.
Alec: uh where should I sleep then-?
Nick: uhm in my bed duh?
Alec: but uh- won't it be small..?
Nick: I have a literal king size bed, I think we'll fit
Alec: okay-
Nick: come on, it's 4:31 am, we should get sleep now
Alec: alright
*they sleep in the same bed. Nick wakes up at 8 am and sees Alec clinging onto him.*
*nick thinking:* poor Alec, the fire must've scared him a lot.
*alec wakes up just after that and realizes he's clinging onto nick*
Alec: oh my gosh- I'm so sorry..!
*he feels very embarrassed*
Nick: hey it's alright, you're probably just scared of the fire last night!
Alec: yeah!.. exactly..
