"I don't make you know, you came and found me when I was at my low."

-Oscar Lang 'you.'

Later that night, me and Mar go get smoothies. Kyle drives over to say goodnight to me since we won't be together. I love Kyle.

Tuesday is a normal school day. I see Kyle once or twice throughout the day. James hasn't talked to me since the hallway.

On Wednesday there is another game. Me and Kyle meet up after school, I lead him to the empty girl's locker room and we pray together. We pray that we will win, we pray that no one will get hurt, but most of all, we pray that she won't show up again.

On our way out of the girl's locker room, I place my hand on Kyle's shoulder, "Kyle. Let's forget that ever happened, okay?" I rub up and down his back as he nods with closed eyes, "Don't let that ruin this game."

"Thank you, Kie." He hugs me and I watch him walk to the gym.

When the boys get announced, I applaud along with everyone else. I sit in the same spot as last game, right behind the bench. The game goes smoothly, only a couple missed calls from the blind refs, as usual.

When the game ends, I quickly exit the building and walk home. I don't want Kyle to know that I am staying at our house, or else he will feel guilty as always.

I quickly realize that I cannot stay at this house. Since the electricity has gone out, everything in the fridge has rotted, leaving the house to smell rancid. I whip out my phone to ask Kyle if I can stay at Nolan's with him but my phone has died. I curse under my breath and make my way out front. I cry myself to sleep on the comfy sofa on the porch.

I wake up to the sound of my blaring alarm. I reach my long arm over and slam my fist down on the top of the clock, shutting off the annoying ringing. I get out of bed and my foot lands right on my dog's paw.

"Oh, Luci, oh my gosh, are you okay? I'm so sorry, baby." I crouch down and stroke her head until I'm sure she's alright. I straighten myself out and turn on the shower.

Once I'm out of the shower I pick out a dress shirt and black jeans to go with my black Nike Airs. I eat a simple yet healthy breakfast of avocado toast with an egg on top. I get in my car and start driving out of the neighborhood until I see a body laying on a porch couch. I come to the conclusion that I am looking at a murderer's victim.

Once my headlights hit the figure, I realize who it is. I slam on my breaks and pull into the driveway. I get out of the car and step toward her. "What the hell.." I mumble. Once I get closer, I see her face clearer. Her mouth is hung open and her limbs are sprawled out on the small couch. I chuckle softly.

Her cheeks and nose are rosy pink due to the freezing weather, and her body is slightly shaking. There are streaks below her eyes that have frozen overnight. I decide to wake her up before she freezes completely.
