She was the eldest of the two people who followed her out of the room: two minutes later her sister Rebekah was born and three minutes later, Erik came shortly after.
Esther Mikaelson was only 28 when she gave birth to them. And as far as the children believed, their father was Mikael. However, this would not be the case. Their mother, Esther, had an affair with a man named Lumin Herrera, originally from what would come to be Mexico. A powerful witch from a neighbouring village. They grew up in what would become Mystic Falls, Virginia with their elder brothers Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Kol and later on, their younger half-brother Henrik.
Daria and Erik were both very powerful witches and their mother, Esther forced them into a coven called the Gemini Coven in which they were celebrated. Celebrated like never before.
However, their tragedy struck when the youngest, Henrik was murdered by the wolves, their mother Esther sought out dark magic and forced her most powerful daughter to perform the spell, Daria obliged and thus the vampire species was born.
All because of Daria Mikaelson.
