In a world brimming with people, not all are truly human. Among them were Angelica, a girl tasked with protecting a certain individual under the guise of a human, and Mae, a devil summoned by a group of unsuspecting children. While Mae's role was to bring misfortune to others, destiny had something unexpected in store for both of them-an unthinkable romance.
As their paths intertwined, Angelica and Mae found themselves irresistibly drawn to each other, embarking on a relationship that transcended the boundaries of Heaven and Hell. Yet, unbeknownst to them, their love was steeped in forbidden lore.
One sunny afternoon, Angelica burst into their small apartment, excitement evident on her face. "Babyyy! I got you noodles!"
Mae chuckled softly, a rare glimmer of affection breaking through her usual demeanor. She accepted the offering, feeling a flicker of annoyance at the interruption of her online mischief. Yet, her heart softened as she looked at Angelica.
"Thanks, dear," she said, taking a bite of the noodles. "Now come with me to the rooftop. I want... to talk."
"Is something wrong? Because that sounds serious," Angelica replied, concern etched on her features.
Once they reached the rooftop, Mae took Angelica's hands in her own, her expression turning solemn. "I know there's something different about you. Sometimes, you do things no ordinary human can. You don't age, and it seems nothing can hurt you. It's driving me crazy. I have to know... what you are."
Angelica hesitated, her heart racing. "I... Ι..."
"Am I right?" Mae pressed, her gaze intensifying.
"Yes... yes, you are," Angelica finally admitted, looking down in trepidation.
To her surprise, Mae's expression softened, the darkness in her eyes dissipating. "My dear, I know you kept this secret for a reason. I have so many questions..."
Angelica offered a soft smile.
"Let me ask you something important," Mae said, her tone returning to its affectionate cadence. "Do you trust me?"
"I do," Angelica replied, her eyes warm with affection.
"Then you should know one more thing," Mae continued, looking deep into her eyes. "I'm different too. I'm a secret, just like you. If you tell me yours, I'll tell you mine."
Angelica raised an eyebrow but nodded. Mae leaned closer, her voice a mere whisper. "I am... a demon. The devil herself. The most powerful and feared being in Hell. I have many who do my bidding, but I came here just to meet you. I was drawn to you like a moth to a flame."
Angelica's heart raced. "Will you hurt me?"
Mae's face softened again. "Never," she said firmly, a slight smile gracing her lips. "You're my everything, and I would never harm the one I love. I just want to protect you."
Angelica beamed and hugged Mae tightly. Mae wrapped her arms around her, holding her close. The warmth of their embrace stood in stark contrast to Mae's usual tough demeanor.
"Well... as for me," Angelica began, "I'm an angel. Not a particularly powerful one, but I help a lot of people and other angels."
Mae's eyes widened, disbelief washing over her. "An angel? I didn't know it was possible for an angel to... fall for a devil. Are you sure you're doing the right thing?"
Angelica nodded, her voice steady. "We've been dating for a while, so I trust you with my whole heart."
"I'm... speechless," Mae admitted, still processing this revelation. "I can't believe you trusted me with that. You really are... special." She pulled Angelica close, cradling her in her arms.
The angel giggled, "I love you so much."
"I love you too. I'm pretty proud to be dating an angel now," Mae chuckled, glancing down at Angelica. "But since we're sharing secrets, I have one last question."
"Yes, sweetheart?" Angelica replied, curiosity piqued.
A mischievous smirk spread across Mae's face. "How do you feel about being tempted to... sin with the devil?"
Angelica blushed at the suggestion. "Oh, I... Mmm..."
Mae leaned in, whispering lowly into her ear, sending shivers down Angelica's spine. "Oh, come now..." she purred, slowly licking Angelica's neck. "I'm the devil. You're an angel. Our relationship is forbidden, breaking the laws of Heaven and Hell. Yet... here we are."
"Shhh, you're tempting enough," Angelica laughed.
"Oh? You think so?" Mae's smirk widened, clearly enjoying the playful banter. "How does it feel to have the ruler of Hell so close to you? To have a devil so in love and devoted to an angel?"
The angel's face flushed as Mae's teasing intensified. The devil's finger traced lightly from Angelica's collarbone to her jaw, their breaths mingling in the charged air. "You know," Mae whispered, her voice dripping with desire, "angels are supposed to be pure and innocent. Yet here you are, in the arms of the devil."
"Shush," Angelica giggled, pulling Mae in for a kiss.
Mae closed the distance between them, capturing Angelica's lips in a passionate embrace. Her grip tightened around Angelica's hips, pulling her closer as they exchanged a kiss that ignited the very fabric of their beings.
"Mmm..." Angelica let out a soft whimper, overwhelmed by the devil's intensity. Mae's kiss was commanding, her touch possessive and electrifying. As Angelica's soft whimper escaped, Mae's desire grew, deepening their kiss as their tongues danced fervently.
Angelica finally broke away, breathless. "That's naughty."
Mae chuckled lowly, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, my dear angel, you're the one tempting me. Your lips, your body... I can't resist."
With Angelica nestled against her chest, Mae's smile softened. "My angel, you have no idea how powerful you are over me. You've tamed the untamable, and I've never been happier in my existence."
"Good," Angelica replied playfully. "If only the higher-ups could see us now."
Mae giggled, her voice low and conspiratorial. "Imagine their faces-an angel and the devil, wrapped in each other's arms. It would create chaos in both Heaven and Hell!"
As days turned into weeks, Angelica and Mae reveled in their secret romance, meeting in hidden corners of the city and sharing whispered dreams under the stars. Their love felt like a dangerous game, thrilling yet fraught with tension. Every stolen moment felt charged, a fragile bubble that could burst at any moment.
However, the weight of their secret loomed larger with each passing day. The whispers of Heaven and Hell grew louder, their realms becoming increasingly aware of the unusual connection between an angel and the devil.
One evening, as they sat together on the rooftop, Mae gazed out at the city lights, her expression thoughtful. "Angel," she began, her voice tinged with concern, "what if they find out about us? The higher-ups won't take kindly to our relationship. We'd be risking everything."
Angelica sighed, brushing her fingers through Mae's hair. "I know. But what we have is real. I can't imagine my life without you. Isn't love worth the risk?"
Mae turned to face her, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. "But at what cost? I don't want to see you hurt because of me. If they decide to intervene..."
"They won't hurt me," Angelica interrupted firmly, though her voice trembled slightly. "I believe in us. We can find a way to make this work."
Mae's gaze softened, yet a shadow of doubt lingered. "You're so innocent, my dear. I'm the devil. I'm made to bring chaos, not harmony. What if I bring you down with me?"
Angelica cupped Mae's face, forcing her to meet her gaze. "You're not chaos to me. You're my light in the dark, and I refuse to let anyone dictate what my heart wants. We'll face whatever comes together."
Mae's heart swelled with love and fear as she leaned in for a kiss. Their lips met softly at first, then deepened, reflecting the urgency of their emotions. Just as the kiss ignited their souls, a chilling wind swept across the rooftop, breaking the moment.
