Max and Alice were fast friends, yet Alice couldn't help but miss her brother. Sure, they still had lessons with McGonagall together alone, but that was it. Other than that, they were never actually alone together. She knew that most brothers and sisters never were, but she and her brother were different. They'd always depended on each other, never other's. They needed each other more than anything.

They both got a sharp reminder of that during a particularly horrible potions lesson.

"Can't even make a proper potion." Snape growled, his lip curling. "Or speak proper English." He added, his eyes gleaming with rage.

Harry and Alice ignored him and continued with their potions, showing no reaction.

"Five points from Gryffindor for ignoring a professor, both of you. Arrogant and a total disrespect of rules, just like your father. The world is a better place without him."

Harry glanced at Alice, seeing his own rage mirrored on her face. Her lip was curled and eyes flashing.

"Worthless pieces of-" Snape couldn't say anymore because Harry hand knocked over his cauldron, spilling the contents onto the floor.

"Shut up! You don't know shit about me or my parents!" Harry's hands were shaking and his eyes were dark.

"Fifty points from Gryffindor and detention everyday with me for a month!" Snape said, a gleeful tone to his voice.

Alice was livid, sure Harry sweared, but that didn't warrant that many points taken off, or detention everyday for a month! When did he expect Harry to do his homework.

"That's not fair professor! You were edging him on, that's not right!" Hermione said, her face flushed.

"Ten points from Gryffindor Miss. Granger!" Snape snapped, his own face flushed with anger.

"Stop! Professor you were being a dick! You are being a dick!" Alice added, glaring at the hooked nose man with everything she had. This man shouldn't be a teacher, what was Dumbledore thinking?

The class was silent and the man stalked forward, forcefully grabbing Alice's thin arm and jerking her up violently. "You will come with me-"

He never finished his sentence. Alice's free hand had come up and she had shoved him back, sending him staggering into his desk.

Cold black met terrified hazel as Alice grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him towards the door, her red hair flying.

"Severus, my boy. It will be very difficult to get you out of this one. Too many witnesses. I can not erase the memory of portraits. But I will figure it out, no need to worry."

Albus Dumbledore was a tired man. Trying to keep this man on his staff line was becoming difficult. Minerva was beginning to fight the confundus charm he'd been he'd been putting on her everytime something happened between his potions master and the rest of the student body.

"There will be no need Albus. I resign."

Dumbledore's calm façade broke in an instant, revealing just how tired and angry he was.

"Resigning? Professor Snape, I could have you thrown into Azkaban in an instant if I so wanted it. Are you sure you want to resign?" The white haired man growled, his blue eyes piercing the other man obsidian ones.

"Yes. I suggest Nymphadora Tonks to take my place. She is currently on a year long leave after Auror training. I do not find myself capable of being a teacher of children, especially the Potters. I apologize professor. Good day." With a final curt nod towards the seething headmaster, he swept out of the room, much like an overgrown bat.

Dumbledore sighed and slumped in his seat.

'Well.' He thought. 'Time to write a letter.'

Well hello Wattpaders! Ws here! So summer has officially started and I am working like a dog on fd! And for all you Snape lovers don't hate me! He will be back in a better roll later on.

Just some info on how I will continue with fd here. At first I'd thought I do 7 of these, years 2, 4, 5 and 6 being really short, no more than 15-20 chapters and have books three and seven more like this one and then I'd do a prequel. I was aiming pretty high eh? So, I going to skip the majority of the books stated above and just do the interesting parts (meeting slughorn, saving Ginny, Voldemort risisng etc) so essentially there will me no filler chapters at all. Book seven will skip most of the walking, camping etc and more on their adventures but with a few filler chapters. The same for for the third book. It'll focus more on Remus and Sirius than weird subplots. Well, that's all really! Adiós amigos!
