Harry could still remember the feather light kiss Ginny had given him on the cheek just before he had boarded the train. They had  been going around hugging each other, trying to avoid Mrs. Weasley's bone crushing embrace when Ginny had kissed his cheek quickly before she'd hurried off, blushing horribly.
"Harry!"

Harry jumped and, out of instinct, went to reach for his knife. Obviously it wasn't there. Molly made them 'Leave all sharp, pointy, dangerous things home.'

Harry sighed and glanced at Ron who was looking the the door of the compartment, his face a mix a apprehension, annoyance and embarrassment on his face.

"Yes Ron?" He asked, not even noticing the girl who was standing in the doorway to the compartment.

Ron jerked his head towards the compartment door where the girl with bushy brown hair, big brown eyes and buck teeth stood.

"Have you seen a toad? A boy named Neville's lost one." She asked, her voice shook a bit. She had to be a muggleborn.

Harry shook his head. "No sorry."

Completely uninvited she came to sit down. As if realising what she did, she her face became red as she struggled to find something to say. Finally she managed. "I'm Hermione Granger by the way."

Harry nodded and smiled, on the inside he was trying to find a way to shorten her name, or change it something he could pronounce. "Hi Mione," the girl stopped playing with her robes at nickname before a brilliant smile threatened to split her face in half. "Nice to meet you. I'm Harry and this I my sister Alice."

"And I'm nobody, don't worry." Ron grumbled from across from Harry. Alice, who was currently sprawled across the floor laughed, and smiled up at the girl.

"That's Ron Weasley by the way. He really likes food." She said, grinning as Ron glared at her from his spot on the plush benches.

Hermione smiled at their antics. "Nice to meet you all. Well, I have to go help find that toad again. I'll see you guys at Hogwarts."  She got up and waved, quickly leaving the compartment.

Ron smiled. "She seems cool." His blue eyes were fixed on the door as of he was anticipating something.

Harry laughed and swung his legs onto the seat, basking it all. Five months ago, he wouldn't have ever thought that he could be comfortable around anyone but his sister. If he had told his passed self that life became this amazing, he would have laughed. A good life? Not for them.

Now, he was on a luxury train heading to somewhere in Scotland to attend a boarding school for magical people with his sister and new best friend Ron Weasley while in his pocket was at least 300 pounds in the magical currency which wasn't even a dent in his total ownings. He was rich.

Who would have ever thought?

Life for the Potter twins was looking up, and they couldn't be happier. A chance to be kids, a chance to have fun and go to bed with a full stomach? Wasn't that what every kid wanted?

(This is really short I'm so sorry. It's not even 700 words.... But hey! One chapter is like 1478 words so that makes up for this. *hides*)
