Harry struggled to his feet and staggered over to Ron who's tongue had reattached itself somewhere durring his little 'battle'.

"You alright mate?" Harry asked, quietly checking over his friend.

"Y-yeah. I t-think so. How's Hermione?" Ron stuttered out. He couldn't believe that even happened. His best friend just killed a man with his bare hands. He was eleven! The biggest shock he was supossed to see was his ttwo best mates kissing, not this!

"In shock." Harry answered. "Can you go check on her? Don't take out the glass yet. I just have to see something."

Ron nodded and stood unsteadly to his feet. "Hermione?" He murdered, pulling her hands from im front of her face. The blood had stopped flowing and had crusted over hands.

"Hey, Hermione. C'mon Hermy, look at me."

While Ron talked softly to Hermione, Harry walked over to where he'd seen the ring fly from the heart. Scanning the ground he spotted the gold ring.

There wasn't anything too special about it. It was a simple gold band with a black stone on it. On the stone, a weird symbol was carved on the top. It was a triangle with a line and a circle in the middle. It seemed oddly familiar but even with his memory, he couldn't place it.

He picked it up and shoved it into his pocket along with the stone.

Harry hurried back over to Ron and Hermione. "Is she okay?" He asked.

Ron shrugged. "She's not responding to- Ow!"

He was shocked to see Hermione struggling to stand without using her hands.

"Would you two help me up? We need to get out now before...... Oh. He's dead."

Hermione was looking at his mangled body with minor disgust. "Nevermind. Let's just go before I saw my hands off to get it ttomstop hurting so much."

So the two boys helped Hermione to her feet and began to stumble towards the door at the end of the chamber.
