Stories are often retold and over the amount they are spoken, they change. Each story having a different meaning or version of itself in how it was spoken and never written. Revisit an old friend, begin a new adventure, and be cautious of the danger...
The traffic light trio and Danny were watching My Hero Academia. Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, and Jacob were all outside having some coffee and tea. Margaret was in the kitchen with Nezha, showing the prince how to make PeanutButter cookies. Lotus, Wukong, and Macaque were in the dining room table, talking.
"So you did go to high school." Macaque leaned on the table as his sister told him and Wukong about more of her teenage years.
Lotus chuckled and nodded. "Yep, I decided not to go to college so I could help out on the farm. I even went to prom."
At the sound of that Mei, Mk, and Danny rushed into the kitchen. "You went to prom?!"
"What was it like?!"
"Was the music loud?!"
"Did you have a date?!"
Wukong's fur frizzed a bit at that last question and his tail flicked. "Yeah, did you have a date?"
The white monkey scoffed at that. "God no, all the boys I went to school with were assholes. Not to mention a lot of people thought I was lesbian because I'm a tomboy."
(A/n: I had the same problem. To be honest, I don't really know what I am myself, I'm still figuring things out.)
That calmed the monkey king down and he nodded as she intertwined their tails together. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed a bit. "It was crowded and loud. I went with some good friends and one of them was named prom queen."
Maragret then spoke up as she looked over. "You kept your dress, right?"
That got everyone's attention. "You kept your dress?!"
"I did. I'll go get it." Lotus then got up and went to her room, digging around in her closet before finding a black dress. But an idea popped in her head, and she smirked evilly.
Back in the dining room, Mei and Mk were questioning Margaret about Lotus' prom dress. "What did it look like?"
"It was black with silver chains, showed her chest a bit, and even part of her thigh. She said, 'If I'm going to this thing, I'm going to look like a bad bitch.' Jacob nearly forced her to stay home after seeing her in it."
Macaque shook his head. "Sounds like my sister."
Mk then looked to Wukong and Macaque. "What was mom like before...you know?"
Wukong chuckled and leaned back in his chair with a smile. "Oh, when we first met in the celestial realm, she tried to kill me, you know this. Nearly beat me too, but even then, when our eyes met after I pinned her down. Sparks flew, and not just from our weapons."
Red Son then came into the kitchen. "Sounds like when my parents met. Looks like you and my father have one thing in common."
Macaque then continued. "Before she was taken by the celestials, Lotus was an amazing healer, didn't know a thing about fighting. But when Wukong brought her back home she knew how to hold her own in a fight. She was still a kind healer but was a strong warrior too."
"Yeah, still am."
They all turned to see Lotus in this black dress.

"Turns out, my old prom dress still fits."
Mei and Mk had stars in their eyes as the dragon girl took photos on her phone. Danny smiled in excitement and so did Margaret. Red Son nodded in approval and so did Nezha. Macaque crossed his arms as his tail flicked.
"I see why your dad tried to make you stay." That made Lotus laugh a bit.
She wiped away a stray tear. "Oh man, I remember. He picked me up after in his truck while his shotgun was in the passenger seat."
Wukong just stared and his face grew hot and red, his nose even bled a little. His fur was puffed up as he saw his mate in this outfit. But he shook off his flustered state and smirked seductively at Lotus.
She noticed of course. "Something you wanna say, Sunshine?"
He leaned one arm on the table as he used his other hand to wipe away what drops of blood came out of his nose. "Oh, there's a lot of things I wanna say, Sexy Lady."
That earned him a bonk on the head from Macaque. "That's my sister!"
Wukong stood quickly. "That's my mate!"
That started a wrestling match between the two monkeys. Jacob, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy coming inside to see the chaos. "What's happening?"
Mk answered. "Mom was showing us her prom dress."
Jacob then looked over and saw Lotus in her old prom dress and burst into tears at that. "My baby girl! Margaret! Stop the time! I want to get off!"
Margaret laughed and hugged Jacob. "I can't, honey."
Pigsy then pointed to Lotus. "Well, at least we know why Monkey King fell for you. But why'd you fall for him?"
Lotus shrugged and continued to watch her brother and mate fight. "Just did, love is like that. Not to mention he makes me laugh."
Mei came over and pulled Lotus aside to have some girl talk. "So, any reason else you fell for Monkey King?"
"He was strong, kind, funny, and while he makes me laugh, he knows when to get serious. Not to mention he's handsome." Lotus leaned on the wall behind her and smiled.
"Really?"
Jacob ended up stopping the fight and as punishment the two monkeys had to do some chores. He had Macaque take care of the garden, while Wukong was chopping wood.
Lotus then smirked as she then went outside with Mei at her side. "One more reason."
"What's that?"
The white monkey pointed to where Wukong was splitting wood with an axe. He had his shirt off and all his muscles were showing as he wiped his brow a bit. It made Lotus bite her lip as she watched her mate's muscles flex.
Mei nodded with a slight pink dusting on her cheeks. "Okay, I see it now."
Lotus chuckled and chuckled. "Yeah, I'm one lucky woman."
"What was he like when you two were first dating?" The dragon girl was curious as she looked to her mentor.
The white monkey leaned on the porch rail and thought. "He was a handful; he was very flirty in our early courting days and could barely keep his hands off me. But he was also really sweet and considerate."
Wukong turned slightly as he looked to the two. "You both know I can hear you, right?"
"Oh, I know, but I was too busy to care." That made the king stride over and look up at Lotus from his spot in front of the porch. "Too busy watching the show, huh?"
Mei rolled her eyes and smirked devilishly as she snapped a picture of the two looking at each other. Deciding to call it '#PowerCouple' before heading inside to show the others.
Lotus leaned over the rail more and planted a kiss on Wukong's forehead, but he had other plans as he grabbed her arm and pulled her over the rail and caught her bridal style. "Hey! Really? Just had to do that?"
"Yes."
Jacob then came around the corner and yelled at the king. "Put my daughter down!!"
Wukong then rushed off with Lotus in his arms, the white monkey laughed at the silliness of all this.
