Lakshmana sighed sadly.

She was not doing anything except wondering if Vrish would accept the proposal.

She wanted to meet him but he was in Anga and all were busy for Lakshman's marriage.

"Pitashree", she said seeing him entering her room.

"What's up? You don't seem happy since we returned from Dwarka", he asked with narrowed eyes and that just meant one thing, she shouldn't hide her troubles from her father.

"Pitashree--what did Vrish say about the proposal?" She asked trying to appear curious.

"He refused", Duryodhan replied making Lakshmana happy but she quickly masked it.

Duryodhan smirked. "And you can marry him", he said.

"Thank you--wait...what?!" Lakshmana asked standing up.

Duryodhan laughed and pulled his daughter closer. He kneeled down in front of her.

"Putri, the day gurudev kept that proposal, mitr saw the ashen expressions on the faces of you both and had an inkling you want to marry each other", Duryodhan explained and Lakshmana got flustered.

She finally realised why she was so troubled these days.

She loved Vrishsena!

She blushed furiously and looked down as Duryodhan smiled and pulled her cheeks.

"And--mitr literally pondered on Vrishsena so much that Vrish burst open saying he fell in love with you. He also accepted his feelings finally", Duryodhan said.

Lakshmana looked with teary eyes. "he thinks the same?" She asked.

"Of course he does. He loves you Mana and we accept this relationship wholeheartedly", Duryodhan said.

Lakshmana hugged her father and started crying.

"What happened darling?" He asked her worriedly.

"How can he say no?" She sobbed. "We know how much of a strong bond you and Gurudev have. We don't want it to break. We can sacrifice our love for it happily", she said.

Duryodhan chuckled hearing it. "Oh my dumb girl!" He said smiling. "How can you even think I will stake your happiness for anything?" He asked.

Lakshmana looked up. Duryodhan kissed her forehead.

"Nothing will happen wrong with both of you as long as we are here. Listen to me carefully now", he said.

He made Lakshmana sit on the bed.

"Because Pitahmah had already made arrangements for your swayamvar. We will go forward with it. Pitahmah has said that you have to behave quite normal and then garland Vrishsena. So that everyone thinks you chose him and they don't raise weapons in the swayamvar thinking you already had him in your mind beforehand", he said calmly.

"Ok. I will do it", Lakshmana said.

"That's my girl", Duryodhan smiled making Lakshmana grin.

Vrishsena sighed as he sat on his bed. Karna came to see him and got worried.

He entered inside the room.

"What's wrong my son?" He asked Vrishsena.

"Pitashree, just now I received this letter", Vrishsena replied. Karna took the letter from him and opened it.

Rajkumar Vrishsena

This is Pradyumna from Dwarka. I suppose you remember me. If not, I am the eldest son of the chief queen Rukmini and Dwarakadish.

My sister Vatsyala saw you for the first time in Pandavas Rajsuya yagya. Ever since then she has loved you. She had gathered much courage before telling Taatshree about you and crying for you. She prayed day and night so that you could accept this proposal.

Now that you rejected it, she has been hysterical. She refuses to eat anything and is depressed. This is a brother begging you to save his sister. Please marry her.

"What should I do? Pitashree", Vrishsena asked broken hearted.

Karna remembered when he first met Kirti.

"When I visited Paurava Rashtra, I had proposed Vrushali for marriage. Kirti was going to get married to Arjun but she loved me. Her state was the same at my refusal and I agreed for marriage. She has been the best thing happened to me", Karna said.

"So I should bring Vatsyala here too? But what will I say to Mana?" Vrishsena asked.

"Putr. Lakshmana is your love. Ask her. Talk with her about this letter. No one can give you a better advice on this than her. Not even me. Because after all, it is going affect lives of you both. Not of us. Talk to Lakshmana. Talk to Vatsyala too. Nothing can be solved without talking", Karna explained.

"I didn't get the chance to talk to Vrushali. I had to abduct Kirti otherwise her marriage would have been finalised with Arjun. But I know that Vrushali would have urged me to marry Kirti. So ask Mana. You have time. Take advantage of it. Utilise it wisely", Krishna explained.

Vrishasen nodded. "Yes Pitashree. Thank you for taking me out of this trouble", Vrishasen said smiling.

"Now that's what parents are for, aren't they?" Karna smiled.
