The nurse stays with Grant and Mr. Gomez goes and makes an announcement. He puts the school on lock down and instructs teachers not to let students leave the classrooms. The Ems arrive and they make their way down the halls. They get Mack loaded up and do an ekg. He has had a heart attack. The hospital is over forty minutes away with the traffic and he is critical. They call for an emergency chopper to land to take him to the hospital. They land on the football field. The football team is practicing, and they see Mack being rolled out and loaded up. The helicopter takes off Kevin runs back in the school. He removes the lock down and he calls Nico. Nico answers on the first ring and they talk.

(N) Is everything ok? Mack asked me to call, and he won't answer.

(K) Where are you?

(N) I am in a meeting. I explained the situation.

(K) He was just air lifted to the hospital. He collapsed in the classroom. We had to shock him back. They said he had a heart attack.

(N) What hospital?

(K) Memorial south.

(N) I am on my way.

(K) I am leaving heading there as well. I will see you soon.

Students start checking out left and right and it is all the math team and most of the fine arts department. There are over twenty football players that leave and they are all heading towards the hospital. The vice principal dismisses the students for the day, and he makes his way to the hospital. Mack has made it and he is going in and out. They call a surgeon in. Surgeon(S), Nurse(N), and Mack(M).

(N) How are you feeling?

(M) There is a bunch of pain.

(S) I am the Surgeon on call I am going to push ten mg of a strong pain killer. We are prepping a Cath lab for you right now. As soon as we get the medicine and iv in, we are heading down. Your ejection fraction is down to twenty percent. It was at forty percent six months ago. I know we just got the medicine back under control it is just taking time to balance everything out.

(N) Ten mg of dilaudid pushed.

(S) Ok, we are going to push ten mg of valium as well to relax you before the procedure. We just had the nurse prepare you for the small procedure. I will be going in the left groin and into your heart. I just want to make sure we have no blockages. I read the notes with the modesty issue. We will keep you covered up and when we get in there the nurse here will cover you and make sure you are good. I promise I will be quick. I am also going to push some medicine that will make you sleepy. You might remember us talking but you should not remember nothing else. This procedure should be less than two hours without any complications.

(N) Can you nod if you understand?

Mack nods and people starts rushing in the room. They are unhooking wires, and they are moving towards an elevator. They make it to a cold room, and everyone is ordered out. The nurse and surgeon stay and get Mack covered up under the blue aprons and they apply the iodine. They put a cpap mask on Mack's face and a different doctor instructs he is pushing medicine to make him sleepy. Mack tries his best to stay awake, but he ends up falling asleep. He feels the needle where they numb his leg area and then he is out. Surgeon(S), Doctor(D), Resident(R), and Nurse(N) will all talk.

(N) He is out.

(S) Everything is advancing well.

(D) I have him controlled with blood pressure. His heart rate looks a little week. We need to try and make this as quick as possible.

(R) I have the crash cart standing by.

(S) I am almost into the heart.

(N) He seems to be sweating a lot.
