Could it be love!

An incident!

Mack and Nico wake up and they get dressed. Nico just stares at Mack. He looks incredible as usual. He is dressed up so nice. Nico walks over and kisses him, and they make their way to the kitchen. They talk as they cook breakfast. 

(N) I wanted to add you as an emergency contact for all of us. The school for the boys and you for me at work. 

(M) That is fine. 

(N) That is what Kaden asked if I had spoken to you about. 

(M) I will do the same thing if you are ok with it. 

(N) I would like that. 

(M) We have a deal. 

They go back to cooking and Nico can tell something is off this morning. Mack goes to his bag and takes some medicine out. He takes it and he still has a face. Nico is a little worried. Torrin and Kaden walk in and sit at the table. They all sit down and eat breakfast. Mack eats some of his food, but everyone can tell he is a little different this morning. 

(N) Mack, would you like to ride with us to school this morning? I can drop you off at work. 

(M) I would like that. 

(K) Will you sit in back with me? I will let Torrin sit up front. 

(T) No, I can sit in back. Mack can ride up front with Daddy. 

(K) Ok. 

(N) You two go and grab your things and we can head out. 

Nico and Mack put the dishes in the sink and Nico grabs Mack's bag for him. They carry everything to the car, and they get in. They drive to the school and drop the boys off. They pull off and Nico and Mack will talk. 

(N) Are you ok?

(M) I am ok. 

(N) Are you sure? You look like you do not feel great this morning. Did I stress you out?

(M) No baby. We have not had the health talk yet. I do have an issue I would like to speak about. I know you saw me take the medicine this morning. Thank you for driving me to work. 

(N) I saw the names of two of the medicines. I know one is your anxiety medicine and the other is for pain. Are you hurting?

(M) I am hurting a little this morning. I have them for extreme cases of pain. 

(N) You crushed them?

(M) Yes, I can't swallow pills they do not take since my surgery. It will give me some effect but not all of it. 

(N) I understand. 

(M) Are you upset?

(N) I am not. I take medicine as well. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. 

(M) I have a heart condition. I take medicine for it and it is manageable. I understand if this is a deal breaker, and you want someone with a more stable. 

(N) Can you stop talking? I do not care. I am fine with it. Is there something serious going on this morning?

(M) I don't think so. I just do not feel the greatest.

(N) How about you call in? I can call in and we can spend the day together at home. 

(M) I think I will be ok today. I will go home tonight for a while if that is ok and grab some more medicine and then I can come back over or stay at home. 

(N) I can pick you up and drive you home. Then you can grab some medicine and your laptop. I have an office you can stream in for a while. 

(M) Today is a day off for streaming.
