Could it be love!

Nico makes some changes!

Mack gives everyone a hug and he walks them to the door. They all leave and he cleans up the dishes. He takes his morning medicine, and he lays down on the couch and he falls asleep. He can't wait for the boys to get back home. He already misses them. Nico gets to work, and he informs everyone he has board meetings throughout the day, and he will be checking in and out from the office all day long. He also pulls his name partners aside and he will speak with both of them. One is named Barb(B) and then other is Jeff(J). 

(N) I need to speak about a few things. 

(B) Ok. 

(J) How are the boys?

(N) They are doing fine. I am going to be stepping back some from some of my cases. We can all agree I still work like an associate. I have three associates that are under me and they are more than capable of pulling more slack and working more. 

(B) I have to say it is about time. We are named partners. We have worked long and hard to have associates do the grunt work and for them to work on weekends. I am glad you are finally stepping up and taking some of your time off. 

(N) I will also be taking two weeks off very soon. I am not sure on the days as of yet and I will be inviting both of you to my wedding. 

(J) You are getting married?

(B) What is her name? Why have we not met her?

(N) You will never meet her. His name is Mack, and I love him. He has already moved in with me, Torrin, and Kaden. He is lovely and I think you will love him, Barb. 

(B) I am excited about this. 

(J) Why did you wait so long to tell us you were gay?

(B) We would have supported you and we would have been there for you. You are an amazing man, and you have pulled us though bankruptcy. We would have lost the firm without you. You put up thirty-two million of your own dollars to save us from going under. You helped save everyone's job and you explained it all. Everyone worked harder and took a pay decrease. We let go off all the extra office space and then within a year we were able to pay you back and excel. 

(J) You have done more for this firm that any other partner. 

(B) You have also kept us from becoming top heavy. 

(N) Yes, and now I need to speak to you about that. Adam and Maria are two fantastic lawyers. They work their ass off. I think we should move them up as partners that will be participating in draws at the end of the year. I would also like to increase their pay a little. You both agreed when I made the thirty-two-million-dollar interest free loan. 

(J) Shut up. 

(B) We do not say this to be rude. We agree with you. We have been wanting to bring it up but they are your associates. 

(N) I am going to explain to them that they both have to do more and work more hours. They are both young and have no families. I want to spend time with mine. I will not be working Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. 

(B) It is about fucking time. I hate to be rude, but you have earned this. 

(J) You have. 

(B) I will go and get both associates, and we will meet. 

(N) Hold on, I think you should both chose one of your associates to move to partner. What do we want the buy in to be and what will there yearly bonus be?

(B) We are fifty-two million in the black this year. Our bonus is five percent as named partners. I think we give them three percent. 

(N) Do we retroactive it and pull that from their buy in?
