Missing?

Donatello was skeptical. Michelangelo could very well have destroyed the Cellular device- seemed more likely than suicide, no matter how crazy their littlest brother seemed at the moment. Of course he relayed this information to his other siblings and they thought it just as plausible. But of course it was hard to know what they would do with their brother- their father had so obviously been murdered! And Michelangelo was the only one missing with no alibi.

Everyone had seen the horrific scene around the same time- and Murderous Michelangelo was no where to be seen! It seemed pretty obvious what had happened. Mikey had lost it for some reason or the other... but they had more important matters to tend to before finding possibly their brother.

Like scrubbing their dead dad off the wall and finding a good place to bury him. It was a disgustingly disheartening fact that would have to be experienced sooner than later.

Michelangelo was waiting- he waited until his brothers left the lair. They would have to, to bury the father they grieved so much... even if it would be so much easier to throw him down a septic tank. Why was he going back? He missed Icecreamkitty! Kitty was one of his bestest friends after all!

So Michelangelo waited, it didn't take too long for the shell-raiser to drive away. Or maybe it just didn't feel like that long... it didn't really matter.
The turtle skipped into the lair with a grin and peeked into the freezer, an icecube being thrown into his snout.
"YOUCH! What was that for??"

He rubbed the cold spot on his face as his pet cat waved her icecream paws in the air.
"Meow! Miau mrow!"
Michelangelo simply crossed his arms at the cat's cries.
"No Icecreamkitty! I- I didn't do anything bad! What do you mean I smell like death and guilt? I always smell that way- we live in the sewers for crying out loud!"

He took Icecreamkitty out the fridge, spinning around with her in his arms for a chaste moment.
"Infact- I've done a real good thing, girl!"
The sentient sweet treat looked suspicious at that claim, a frown on her face.
"Miaow."

"Im kinda like a superhero- ynow? Ive taken care of the evil that lurks just beneath the surface... haha! It's like there was a plague haunting our house, and i got rid of it! Like a- exercising doctor! Still don't know why ghosts hate exercise... maybe cause they don't have legs?"

Michelangelo giggled and hugged his cat close, cold Neapolitan ice-cream dripping down his cheek. Everything seemed hollow around him- but the cold embrace of his pet kitty-cat was nice and warming to his soul.
"Awhh my little girll.. I love you so much!"

Michelangelo hummed and swayed from side to side, giving Icecreamkitty some scratches behind the ears. The cat seemed to ease up, but she got uncomfortable at the fact she was all melty!
"Mew!"
Mikey snapped his fingers, a startling echo in the bleak emptiness of the lair.
"Yeah! Sorry girl.. I know you hate getting melty. I'd hate to melt too. But don't worry, we'll
de-mutate you one day!"

Mikey set Icecreamkitty back up in the freezer, giving her some frozen fruit to nom on. He wrote on a sticky note and stuck it to the freezer!

'Dont forget 2 tak kar uf Kitty!! -Mikeylangilo'

"And that's that!"
Michelangelo grinned in satisfaction at his work and left the lair. He'd have to find somewhere ti stay... maybe staying with Leatherhead would be to obvious? Maybe he could hide in Casey's apartment or something. Or he could always sleep in the random labyrinth's that was the sewers- or squat in some random abandoned place of New York City! Either was a good enough option...

As Michelangelo made way to a collection of tunnels nearer to the surface he had to uncanny feeling that he was not alone... and not to be arrogant or anything- but he was never wrong about that sorta thing!

He roamed, the place he was ending up had a large clearing of stone floor and a side that was cut off- it looked like it could lead into a subway tunnel that hadn't been fully cut off yet. Spray paint decorated the walls, so a bunch of kids and homeless people probably came around here- it was a good idea to leave-

"Michelangelo."

"What..?"

Mikey felt a thick shiver crawl down his carapace at the absolute spurn his name was coated in, by whoever had spitted it out...

he knew who it was deep down. That voice only belonged to one girl he knew- that numinous sister he had. He turned around, feeling like he was coated in some sort of slime- maybe the ooze that had birthed him into such mutation. Feeling agony and reactive immobility dripping down his scales.
"Karai, What you doing here big sis? I thought you didn't really like the sewers..."

Michelangelo felt like he had a clot of raw pizza dough stuck in throat that he couldn't quite swallow down. He was feeling oddly nervous and sea sick with adrenaline- this was the feeling of fear... He recognized that. Karai narrowed her amber eyes as she stepped forwards, the thud of boots echoing throughout the sewers.
"I'm here because I've heard about what you've done... And I can't say i'm not furious."

Mikey couldn't help but hold up a nervous grin in his face, he could practically feel the sweat run down his face and palms- a furious Karai was not a good thing... his sister went to speak once more.
"But im curious... I understand eliminating The Shredder, but your own father? Our father, for that matter? What's happened to you?"

Karai circled around Michelangelo with the smoothness and swiftness in her movements like that of a snake. Made sense.
"You're not a murderer.. you're the most compassionate little boy I know and now suddenly..."
Karai frowned, a glint of sadness in her eye appeared just to quickly be replaced with a shine of indignation.

"You kill the only true father I could have known? Because I can come to terms that Shredder was born true father to me- but Yoshi was going to be different! And the chance to have a father was taken away from me- by you! Do you know how that feels? You should- he was your father too, the blood is on your hands! How can you still smile like that?"

She put a hand to her chest, before the same hand flew to jab a finger into Michelangelo's plastron. It felt like a piercing laser had been struck into his heart. Karai was obviously feeling emotional, but she wouldn't let herself cry, it wasn't the way of a ninja such as herself.
Michelangelo tried to collect himself as he was quite literally getting cornered, his elder sister towering over him like an angry deity.

"Karai! Try to understand sis- it wasn't really like a murder... more like a- justifiable homicide! Uhh.. you know, maybe I did is a favor? Ever think of that? Ya haven't lived with him yet so maybe you don't know- but it's not like he's not getting dad of the year awards or anything!"

Mikey clasped his hands together like a beggar, yet his jumbled mess of a defense just seemed to make Karai's face twist into a whole whirlpool of emotion. He felt the cool sweat hit his neck and send a shock of chills throughout his body. His instincts were telling him he should definitely get outta here! But how..?

Oh, that's it!

He had an idea...
