AN — This part's a little confusing, but it's just because this is all the Winter Soldiers know (which is practically nothing), and I'm sure you've all seen the movie.

It was chaos when we finally joined the fight. The blue-eyed man was the only thing I could remember. All I knew was that we had a mission to complete.

We shot at people, blew shit up, I stabbed people with my sword, et cetera. By that point, we were usually just guessing who was on our side and who wasn't.

Eventually, we managed to get inside one of the planes. The blue-eyed man took the driver's seat. He flew to the top of what everyone was calling a helicarrier, where we waited on the roof. We were told to kill a man with a shield, and anyone else who got in our way.

When we saw him, the blue-eyed man shoved him hard, and he tumbled over the side.

"Steve!" the bird-man gasped, going after him.

But the blue-eyed man grabbed his wing and threw him backwards.

Bird-man caught himself by flying, and started shooting at us. I dove behind some metal thing, while the blue-eyed man did a flip to hide behind it. "Show off," I mumbled.

Bird-man tried to go get shield-man, but the blue-eyed man shot a wire at him, which attached itself to bird-man. The blue-eyed man pulled him down, and bird-man hit the floor hard.

The blue-eyed man then used the wire to pull off one of his wings. We then kicked him hard off the roof, and watched him scream as he fell, until he pulled out a parachute at the last second.

We went down to a bridge, where we waited as the shield-man ran towards us. Once he got a good look, he stopped. The blue-eyed man and I stood side by side, and we stared at the shield-man. As I got a good look at him, I realised he, too, had blue eyes. They weren't the same as the blue-eyes man's — they were paler and smaller. But they still drew me in. Not in the same way, but still. There was something about this man that I felt like I knew. But he was the mission. And I always completed my missions.

The shield-man spoke. "People are gonna die, Buck, Y/n/n."

"We still don't know what you're talking about," I told him. "But we're here to complete our mission."

"I can't let that happen," he said.

We stared at each other for a few more moments. The silence and constant eye-contact made me slightly uncomfortable, and I wished the fighting would just start.

The shield-man sighed. "Please don't make me do this." He sounded almost on the verge of tears, but I didn't understand why. He'd fought us before. He'd fought us well, even.

A few moments later, he finally threw his shield at us. And the fight began. The shield-man hit the blue-eyed man and the blue-eyed man shot him in his side. Just a flesh wound. I pulled out my daggers and started swinging them towards him, and he hit my arms with his shield, blocking my attacks. He hit me in the face, sending me stumbling back a few paces as the blue-eyed man jumped into the fight.

The shield-man pushed him back and grabbed one of the targeting server blades as I ran at him again. I sent my fist to his face, and he nearly fell over. Before he could catch his balance, I kicked him in the gut and he tumbled over. He was quick to jump up, though, and threw his shield frisbee style towards my chest.

The blue-eyed man jumped in front of me, grabbing the shield with his metal arm. He threw it back at the shield-man, who caught it with ease. The two men started fighting, before knocking each other down from the bridge and onto the glass windows at the bottom. The shield-man eventually got the blue-eyed man in a headlock, and I yelped as I started racing down to save him.
