Tsukishima couldn't shake the nagging feeling that he was being followed. As he walked home from practice, he kept glancing over his shoulder, his eyes narrowing in suspicion.
It just didn't seem like a coincidence that (Y/n) happened to be heading in the same direction as him, her steps falling into an uncanny rhythm with his own. His mind raced, trying to find a logical explanation for this unsettling turn of events.
"Is she following me?" he muttered, his brow furrowing. The thought made his skin crawl. Tsukishima valued his privacy above all else, and the idea of someone infringing on that, especially someone he barely knew, filled him with a profound sense of unease.
Without a moment's hesitation, Tsukishima quickened his pace, pulling ahead of (Y/n) and turning the corner without a second glance. If she was indeed tailing him, he
was determined to lose her.To his surprise, (Y/n) didn't follow. Instead, she continued straight, her steps unwavering.
Tsukishima paused, his eyes narrowing as he watched her receding figure. "Tch, what's her deal?" he scoffed, his suspicion slowly giving way to annoyance.
Curiosity getting the better of him, Tsukishima retraced his steps, keeping a safe distance as he followed (Y/n). To his astonishment, she turned into a familiar housing complex - the very one where he lived.
"You've got to be kidding me," he muttered, his eyes widening in disbelief.
As (Y/n) approached the door to one of the units, Tsukishima felt his heart sink. That was his home. He was his new neighbor.
Tsukishima let out a frustrated sigh, running a hand through his hair as he watched (Y/n) disappear into her apartment. He couldn't decide whether this was a blessing or a curse - on one hand, it meant he wouldn't have to worry about her tailing him, but on the other, it meant he'd have to deal with her as a constant presence in his everyday life.
"Great, just what I needed," he grumbled, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
As he trudged up the stairs to his own front door, Tsukishima couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He had always prized his solitude, his ability to retreat into his own little world, and now that sanctuary had been invaded by the unexpected arrival of his new neighbor.
With a heavy heart, Tsukishima unlocked his door and stepped inside, already dreading the inevitable with Tsukishima's older brother helping (Y/n) and her giving Tsukishima his favorite strawberry shortcake as a thank you
TIME SKIP
One evening, as Tsukishima was returning home, he noticed (Y/n) struggling to carry a large box up the stairs to their apartment building. Her face was flushed with exertion, and she seemed to be having a hard time maintaining her grip on the heavy package.
Tsukishima hesitated for a moment, his instinct to ignore her and continue on his way warring with a twinge of reluctant concern. But before he could make up his mind, a familiar voice called out.
"Hey there, need some help with that?" Tsukishima's older brother, Akiteru, approached (Y/n) with a friendly smile.
"Oh, um, yes, if you don't mind," (Y/n) replied gratefully, her eyes lighting up with relief.
Akiteru effortlessly took the box from (Y/n)'s hands, shifting it to rest comfortably on his hip. "No problem at all. Where are you headed?"
As Akiteru and (Y/n) made their way up the stairs, Tsukishima watched from a distance, torn between annoyance at his brother's interference and a begrudging sense of appreciation for the kind gesture.
