Tamaki's eyes remained closed as he slept, but the crease on his forehead suggested that he was still troubled even in his sleep. Osamu couldn't help but worry about his father's condition, both physically and mentally.

Just then, the hospital room door opened, and Shian walked in. She was a petite woman with long, wavy dark brown hair that fell down her back. She had a gentle expression on her face as she approached Tamaki's bedside.

Osamu stood up as she entered the room, feeling a mix of emotions. He hadn't seen his mother in years, and the last time they spoke was when she left his father and the family.

"Hello, Osamu," Shian greeted him softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Mother," Osamu replied, his voice laced with tension.

He didn't know what to say to her, or how to act around her. They were strangers now, and it felt weird to refer her as 'mother'.

"How is he?" Shian asked, her gaze fixed on Tamaki.

"He is stable for now. But the doctor said he needs to rest and regain his strength," Osamu replied, his voice flat.

"I see," Shian nodded.

She looked at Tamaki, her eyes filled with regret and sadness.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice cracking.

"Sorry for what, Mother?" Osamu asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Shian hesitated, then sighed.

"I'm sorry for leaving you and your father. I know it hurt you, and I'm sorry," she said her voice barely above a whisper.

Osamu looked at his mother, surprise evident in his eyes. He didn't expect her to apologize, especially after all these years.

"I appreciate your apology, Mother. But why did you leave us in the first place?" Osamu asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Shian took a deep breath, then sighed.

"It's a long story. But the short answer is that I couldn't take it anymore. Tamaki's work, his constant disappearances, the danger it posed to our family. I couldn't take it, and I left," Shian replied, her voice filled with regret.

"But what about us? Did you ever think about how it would affect us?" Osamu asked, his voice rising.

Shian looked at him, her eyes filled with sadness.
