Rhulk sits there, happily eating her bowl of ramen. She's never had food this good! Its taste is amazing, and the way the noodles can be slurped up with no difficulty is great! Okiwara looks at the happy Rhulk, smiling. She's never seen someone this happy, that isn't a five-year-old kid before. At first, it was jarring, then after some time. It started to grow on her.
Not a lot of people can be as happy as Rhulk is right now, Too many responsibilities. Too much to worry about. Life? Future? Own a house? Economy? All that was just a scrape of what to worry about in your life. But here, It's different. Like all that doesn't matter anymore. Okiwara smiles more brightly after seeing Rhulk finish her first ramen bowl.
Hikari Okiwara: "That was quite fast. I see that you liked it very, very much."
Hikari Uso: "My, I haven't seen anyone eat ramen that fast before, bonus if they looked happy too!"
Uso looks at Rhulk shocked and kind of happy. Watching someone enjoy something that he made, gave him a warm feeling of accomplishment and pride. Like winning an Olympic race.
Hikari Okiwara: "Say, Rhulk do you have anywhere to go?"
Rhulk: "Anywhere. . . to. . . go?"
Hikari Okiwara: "Yeah, like a place to stay. Do you have parents?"
Rhulk pauses at the question. Does she have anywhere to go? She's in an unknown place, given what seemed to be heaven in a bowl. At that time she's forgotten that she had just woken up in a random place, with no parents, no home, and nowhere to go. She doesn't even know if she's something.
Rhulk: "I-I have nowhere to go, I don't know where I am."
Uso and Okiwara look at each other, their eyes telling each other what exactly they have in their hands. The brown-haired big sister looks at Rhulk kindly.
Hikari Okiwara: "Well. . . What do you say, we take you with us and you can stay at our home for a while how does that sound?"
Rhulk: "W-Will there be ramen?"
Hikari Uso: "Only the best kiddo!"
Rhulk: "Ah. . . Do you mean what you say. . ."
Hikari Okiwara: "Yeah, I mean it. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it."
Rhulk heard that, something within her resonated. Like an imprint. Newborns always imprint onto the first thing they say, the same could be said for Rhulk. In her mind, having been shown first kindness in this new world she finds herself in. She unknowingly imprints onto Okiwara. There was also something within her psyche as well. It was. . . sadness. . .
Tears start flowing out of her eyes, landing on the counter. Rhulk's face scrunches up in sadness and gratitude. Okiwara and Uso looked surprised but recovered quickly, seeing it was time to act and comfort the lost girl.
Rhulk: "*Sniff* T-Thank you. . . Thank you. . . *Sniff*"
Okiwara and Uso hug the crying Rhulk, comforting the sad paracausal girl. After a few minutes of hugging and crying, Rhulk calms down. Allowing Okiwara and Uso to continue their work on their ramen shop. Okiwara brings her father to the side to walk privately.
Hikari Okiwara: "Father. Don't you think this is the perfect chance?"
Hikari Uso: "Perfect Chance?"
Hikari Okiwara: "To adopt, of course, mother and you always wanted a second daughter right?"
Hikari Uso: "Yeah, we did. Wait. . . you want me to adopt the little one!?"
Hikari Okiwara: "Of course father! I can tell. . ."
