Mercury angst

I'm trying get better at angst so bare with me :3

Mercury sat in his orbit, deep in thought. The past events were so vivid in his mind. He tried to not to think of it but to no avail, it didn't work. He didn't know why this even had to happen. All because of some stupid comment that Earth said that seemed to piss off all the moons, which he completely understands why they're upset and they have a right to be, but he thinks they went too far with this.
Mercury sighed as he fidgeted with the bracelet on his wrist.
It was all so vivid. When Mercury dragged Mars and Venus out from there asteroid belt, not long after, he heard screams. Earth's screams. He stood helplessly as he watched as Mars and Venus went back into to the war zone. Now that he thinks of it, he wishes he would've followed after, to be able to do something and help. But it probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway.
Earth, Mars, and Venus were heavily out numbered. From what Mercury heard, Earth was hit with an asteroid and was killed and due to Mars and Venus's already weakened states... They weren't able to return back to their orbits either...
Mercury was alone now, Luna, Phobos, and Deimos were with Saturn for the time being until they figured something out. Luna was devastated and Phobos and Deimos were pretty upset.
The silence was deafening. He was never appart of their group but he was used to hearing their chatter from a distance. It was like background noise which felt oddly comforting. Now, he won't be able to hear their laughter or chatter again. Sun has tried talking to him, but Mercury shuts him out, along with the gas giants. He knows they're just trying to help... But he doesn't feel like talking to anyone at the moment.
Mercury looks up from his bracelet and over to the three empty orbits in front of him. It felt odd... Part of him thinks that they're just going to show up one day and things will go back to how they were, maybe they were just orbiting behind the Sun the whole time and all of this was just a bad dream. If only he didn't chicken out. If only he would've ran after them and helped. If only he could've tried to stop it. 𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺

A choked sob escaped his lips. He pulled his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around himself to try and pull himself together. Why did he miss a group he was never even apart of? He just wanted to scream. He wanted to scream at the universe for this. He wanted to scream at those moons. He knew they were upset but not this upset to cause something like this. He knows that the moons are seen as smaller beings, which he can relate to. But is this the message they wanted to send? Did they get the response they wanted?
He buried his face into his knees to muffle his sobs. Why is he such a mess? Why can't he calm down? Why can't he breathe? Just let him breathe.
He can't breathe...
