Chapter 19 - Ganesh Poojan & Sangeet
Author's POV:
Tonight is the night before the big day. Everyone is getting ready for Ganesh Poojan followed by Sangeet. The stage is set with Ganesh Ji's Idol placed on a red-clothed table. The Rathores and Roys arrive, followed by the guests.
Soon, Pandit Ji asks Var and Vadhu aka Rudransh and Suharika to step forward and start with the Pooja. Amidst the soft glow of diyas, Rudransh and Suharika stood side by side, their hearts fluttering with anticipation. The air was thick with the fragrance of incense, and the hall seemed to hold its breath. Pandit Ji, draped in saffron robes, guided them through the sacred rituals of the Ganesh Pooja.
Rudransh, his eyes reflecting devotion, held the silver thali containing vermilion, rice grains, and a kalawa(red/yellow/orange string. Tying a Kalawa during religious ceremonies or festivals signifies divine protection from evil and negative energies.)
Suharika, her hands adorned with intricate mehndi, followed his lead. Together, they chanted mantras, their voices blending into a harmonious melody. The flickering flames danced on their faces, casting shadows that seemed to whisper secrets.
Outside, the evening sky painted hues of orange and pink, mirroring the emotions within the room. The soft rustle of silk echoed as Suharika touched Rudransh's forehead with the rice grains, invoking blessings for their journey ahead. Pandit Ji's voice resonated, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesh—the remover of obstacles. (Vighnaharta Shri Ganesh)
As Rudransh tied the sacred thread around Suharika's wrist, their gazes locked—a silent promise etched in that moment. The room seemed to hold its breath, as if aware of the magic unfolding. The conch shell sounded, announcing the completion of the Pooja, and Rudransh and Suharika stepped back, their hearts intertwined.
In that sacred space, surrounded by love and tradition, they took their first steps toward forever. The Sangeet awaited, but for now, Rudransh and Suharika held each other's hands, their souls aligned.

Background Description from the Author's POV:
A rich, crimson velvet curtain forms the stage backdrop. It drapes from ceiling to floor, its folds catching the light. Gold embroidery traces intricate patterns—floral motifs, intertwining vines, and perhaps even the couple's initials. Strings of fairy lights are woven into the fabric, creating a celestial effect. As the lights twinkle, they mimic stars against the deep red canvas.
Garlands of orange and yellow marigold flowers cascade down the sides of the stage. Their vibrant hues symbolize prosperity, love, and new beginnings. Tall vases hold bouquets of roses, lilies, and jasmine. The fragrance mingles with the incense, filling the air with sweetness.
Chandeliers hang from the ceiling, their crystal prisms refracting light into a thousand rainbows. The warm glow bathes the stage, casting soft shadows. Uplights illuminate the curtains, emphasizing their luxurious texture. The colors shift subtly—now ruby red, now deep burgundy.
The ivory couch is fit for our king and queen. Its wooden frame is carved with delicate patterns—lotus blooms, peacocks, and intertwining vines. Rows of elegant chairs stretch out behind the couch where Rudransh and Suharika sit.
