Chapter 23

Author's POV:

Rudransh couldn't bring himself to blink his eyes. He was awestruck. Suharika looked perfect. Suharika looked like his.

Suharika Ji looked perfectly his.

Mrinali snapped her fingers in front of Rudransh's eyes and brought him back from his admiration-nation to reality. While giving him a teasing look, she said: Koina, dekh lo, apki hi hain. Par kho mat jao, abhi rasmein bhi karni hai, Rudransh Ji.

Rudransh's cheeks turned crimson. Dadi and Aryamaan placed Suharika's hand in Rudransh's. Soon, Mantras were being chanted, and Rudransh and Suharika offered oblations in the holy fire. Then Rudranshi was called for Gathbandhan.

Rudranshi stepped forward with a serene smile. She held the ends of Suharika's dupatta and Rudransh's safa, the symbols of their union. With a graceful movement, she began the gathbandhan, tying the two pieces of fabric together in a sacred knot.

As she tied the knot, Rudranshi whispered a silent prayer for their happiness and prosperity. The knot symbolized not just their physical union, but the intertwining of their lives, hopes, and dreams. The guests watched in reverent silence, the moment's significance not lost on anyone.

With the gathbandhan complete, Rudranshi stepped back, her eyes glistening with unshed tears of joy.

Rudransh, our ever so considerate banda, helped Suharika get up and held her hand in his.

As Suharika and Rudransh stood hand in hand, ready to take their seven sacred vows, the atmosphere was filled with love and anticipation. Each step they took around the holy fire was a promise, a commitment to each other, wrapped in romance and tenderness. After every vachan chanted by Pandit Ji, they said their own vows.

First Phera: Rudransh: "With this step, I promise to cherish you and our family. Together, we will build a home filled with love and laughter." Suharika: "And I promise to stand by your side, supporting you in every endeavor, sharing in your joys and sorrows."

Second Phera: Suharika: "With this step, I vow to nurture our bond with trust and respect. Our love will be the foundation of our life together." Rudransh: "And I promise to be your confidant, always listening and understanding, ensuring our hearts beat as one."

Third Phera: Rudransh: "With this step, I promise to protect us and our family, creating a safe haven for us." Suharika: "And I vow to be your strength, encouraging you to reach for your dreams, knowing that together, we are unstoppable."

Fourth Phera: Suharika: "With this step, I promise to share in all your joys and sorrows, making every moment a cherished memory." Rudransh: "And I vow to bring happiness into your life, to make you smile every day, and to be your partner in all adventures."

Fifth Phera: Rudransh: "With this step, I promise to be faithful and loyal, honoring our love above all else." Suharika: "And I vow to be your best friend, sharing in your laughter and wiping away your tears, forever by your side."

Sixth Phera: Suharika: "With this step, I promise to support you in all our endeavors, celebrating our successes and learning from our failures." Rudransh: "And I vow to be your rock, providing stability and strength, as we navigate life's journey together."

Seventh Phera: Rudransh: "With this final step, I promise to love you unconditionally, for all eternity." Suharika: "And I vow to be your soulmate, loving you more with each passing second, as we grow old together."

As they completed their vows, Suharika and Rudransh looked into each other's eyes, their hearts full of love and commitment. The sacred fire witnessed their promises, and the universe seemed to bless their union with a gentle breeze.

After completing the seven pheras, Suharika and Rudransh sat down again, their hearts still racing from the vows they had just exchanged. The pandit ji's voice resonated with sacred chants, guiding them through the next steps of the ceremony.

Rudransh gently lifted Suharika's maangtika, his fingers brushing against her forehead. With a steady hand, he filled her hairline with the sindoor, the vermillion powder symbolizing his eternal love and commitment. Suharika closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the sindoor and the significance of the moment. It was a promise, a mark of their union that she would carry with her always.

Next, Rudransh picked up the mangalsutra, a beautiful necklace that symbolized their marital bond. The pendant of the mangalsutra was intricately designed, featuring the initials 'R' and 'S' intertwined, a personal touch that made it even more special. His hands trembled slightly with emotion as he reached around Suharika's neck, carefully fastening the mangalsutra. The black beads and gold pendant rested against her skin, a constant reminder of their vows and the love they shared.

Suharika was awestruck seeing the mangalsutra, her eyes got moist with tears of joy.

It was then Rudransh decided to make their moment perfect and softly kissed Suharika's forehead.

The juniors of Roys and Rathores went 'Oye Hoye' and made them red, matching with their outfit.

Sanyukta Dadi and Vaidehi Dadi hurried over, their faces glowing with joy. With loving hands, they placed kala tika behind Rudransh's and Suharika's ears respectively, to ward off the evil eyes. (Priorities changed you see, from Beti to Jamai sa and from Pota to Ghar ki Lakshmi Ji.)

The grandmothers' blessings added another layer of warmth and protection to the newlyweds, ensuring their happiness and prosperity.

Rudransh: Aapne aaj humein poora kar diya, Ardhangini Ji...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aur isi ke saath Rahasya ne inka Vivaah poora kar diya...

Matlab Vivaah ki Rasmon ko... Vivaah to inka anantkal tak chalega...

Bina kisi aise vaade ko kare jo poora na kar paau, aap se vida leti hoon...

Until next time, tab tak ke liye, bye bye!

~Rahasya❣️
