Zara's eyes widened as she stood staring at the screen, frozen in shock. The news left her reeling, struggling to process the fact that Jungkook, the youngest CEO, was now in charge of the company. Her mind buzzed with questions and uncertainties about what is his paln why did he joined in company out of sudden?
Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice from behind. She turned to see the receptionist standing there with a polite expression.
"Ma'am, Mrs. Jeon is calling you," the receptionist said.
Zara gulped, feeling a mix of anxiety and determination behind her veil. She took a deep breath, nodded to the receptionist, and followed her down the hallway toward Jisoo's office. Each step echoed in her ears, her heart pounding with anticipation and nerves.
They reached the door, and the receptionist knocked. A cold voice responded, "Come in." Zara took a deep breath before whispering "Bismillah" and entering. She saw Jisoo focused on some files.
"Mrs. Jeon," Zara whispered.
Jisoo looked up with cold eyes but soon smiled when she saw Zara standing there. "Oh, Zara, come here. And why are you calling me Mrs. Jeon, huh?" She got up, dragged Zara over, and made her sit on a chair, then sat in front of her.
"How are you, eonnie? How are you doing? I haven't seen you in so long," Zara said with a smile behind her veil.
Jisoo smiled and held her hand. "Yeah, I'm totally fine. What about you? How was your trip? I hope Jungkook didn't bother you much."
Zara gulped before averting her gaze and biting her lip behind her veil. "No, Alhamdulillah, everything is fine, eonnie. I am good, and I e-enjoyed t-the t-trip."
Jisoo's eyes narrowed slightly. "Are you sure?" she asked.
Zara nodded, trying to muster a convincing smile. "Yes, I'm sure, eonnie. Everything's fine."
Jisoo studied her for a moment longer, her expression softening. "Alright. Just remember, you can always talk to me if something's bothering you."
Zara felt a wave of relief and gratitude. "Thank you, eonnie. I appreciate it."
Jisoo's smile widened. "Okay, now tell me, are you ready for the position of secretary for Jungkook?"
Zara's eyes widened as she gulped, her hands tightening around her abaya. "But, eonnie, why so suddenly? I was good in Mr. Jeon's company. Why did you transfer me here?" Zara asked, looking around nervously.
Jisoo leaned back, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Okay, so, umm, you can say you are perfect for my company, so I asked Junghyung to transfer you here."
