It's been three days since Jin Joo started interviewing people for Jung In Seok's replacement and it's been a total nightmare. Nobody was really a good fit for the job and she rejected everyone that came, even Yo Han's proposals. In Guk was with her for the whole process, and from what he told Ga On and Yo Han, Jin Joo was really picky and she turned away a lot of people simply because she didn't like the way they looked.
Ga On knew that Yo Han was annoyed by that.
They had no right to complain about it though, since they chose her to be the Chief in the first place.
Eventually they all agreed to finally give Ga On a chance and invite some of his old acquaintances, which is why Jin Joo had three more interviews today.
"If I don't find anyone today, I'm quitting this job," Jin Joo said by the breakfast table, eating her soup as fast as possible, since she had little time before she had to leave.
"You're too excited about this to quit," Ga On pointed out.
"Actually, I think I might be too depressed to continue," Jin Joo commented and looked at Ga On with a seriously tired look on her face. "I still can't believe In Seok is gone. Who's next, me?"
"Nothing is going to happen to you," Yo Han spoke, calming her down a little.
"Like nothing happened to In Seok?" Jin Joo looked at Yo Han a bit offended. "I'm genuinely scared of going to work, knowing that woman is alive," she admitted.
"We're looking for her, Jin Joo, you don't have to worry about anything," he assured her.
"But you've been looking non-stop for three days and nothing!" She exclaimed, clearly stressed. "Ga On will be back at work in a few days and when we find In Seok's replacement we'll be starting another trial. She threatened us not to do that. How do you think she'll react when we go live in a week or two?" She continued her rant with a raised voice.
"What is your point?" Yo Han asked her, looking annoyed.
"Maybe we shouldn't resume the show," she offered. "Maybe it's safer to just quit this job and get the hell out of here."
Ga On had to admit it did sound like a good idea.
"I'm not afraid of Jung Sun Ah," Yo Han spoke. "Our goal is to get rid of her, we can't just run away and think everything is going to turn out fine."
"Besides, we started this thing for a reason," Ga On spoke, giving Jin Joo an encouraging smile. "And I'd like to continue," he added.
Ga On noticed she wasn't too happy about it. "You of all people, Kim Ga On?" Jin Joo spoke, looking at him with pity. He didn't understand what she meant so he just frowned at her, asking her to make him understand. But then Jin Joo shook her head Yo Han's way and it came to him.
She was surprised he wanted to continue working on this if Yo Han was to go back to Switzerland in a matter of weeks.
But what did she expect him to do? It's not like he could quit his job and go with Yo Han.
That was not an option.
Besides, he didn't want to leave Jin Joo alone with this, obviously. He couldn't. Especially not after what happened to In Seok.
"Okay, you know what? I should get to work," Jin Joo said, changing the subject all of a sudden. She quickly got up from where she was sitting and started gathering her things. "And since you're both home, how about you try talking to Elijah? I've noticed something is wrong with her, but I didn't want to ask."
Right, Elijah.
She hasn't been talking to anybody ever since she got back from that coffee meeting with So Yoon. Ga On didn't want to push, but he was very worried. Her not wanting to talk to them was pretty clear and they knew what must have happened.
