Lee Minho sat in his luxurious penthouse apartment, staring out the window at the city skyline. He was seething with anger, his mind racing with thoughts of his mother's latest maneuver.

"Damn her," he muttered to himself. "Damn her for meddling in my life again."

He knew that his mother had been meeting with Seungmin, trying to convince her to marry him. And he knew that Seungmin had finally agreed.

But he didn't want to marry her. He didn't want to marry anyone. He was happy with his life just the way it was - successful, wealthy, and free to do as he pleased.

But his mother wouldn't leave him alone. She was constantly nagging him, constantly pushing him to settle down and get married. And now, she had gone and manipulated Seungmin into agreeing to marry him.

He felt a surge of anger and resentment towards his mother, towards Seungmin, and towards the whole situation. He didn't want to be tied down, didn't want to be responsible for anyone else's happiness.

But deep down, he knew that he was running from his own demons. He was running from the pain of his past, from the fear of getting hurt again.

And he knew that Seungmin was the only one who could help him face those demons, the only one who could help him heal.

But he wasn't ready to admit that yet. He wasn't ready to admit that he needed help, that he needed someone else.

So he sat in his apartment, alone and angry, trying to convince himself that he didn't need anyone, that he was fine on his own.

Just then, his phone buzzed. It was his mother. He hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Minho, I know you're upset," she said, her voice calm and collected. "But you need to understand that this is for the best. Seungmin is a wonderful person, and she will help you."

"Help?" Minho scoffed. "You really think I care about it? I care about my freedom, my independence. And you're trying to take that away from me."

"Minho, don't be dramatic," his mother chided. "Marriage is a natural step in life, Seungmin is a great match for you and great help."

"A great match?" Minho's anger boiled over. "You mean a great pawn in your game of manipulation? Well, I'm not playing along and seungmin cannot replace her, she was the only match for me and no one else"

Minho was about to end the call but his movement halted because of her mother's next words, her voice cold and calculating.

"Minho, that was all in the past, she's gone and it's not your fault. Forget her, for God's sake! And if you don't, I'll make sure her family doesn't get any financial aid from you and suffer. You know I can do that."

Minho's grip on the phone tightened, his mind racing with the implications of his mother's threat. He knew she was capable of carrying out her threats, and the thought of her family suffering was too much to bear.

"Okay, Mother," Minho said finally, his voice laced with defeat. "I'll forget her. I'll focus on my marriage to Seungmin and my duties as your son. Just leave her family alone."

His mother's voice was triumphant. "That's my son. I knew you'd see things my way. And don't worry, I'll take care of her family. They'll be well provided for, as long as you cooperate."

Minho's eyes closed, his heart heavy with the weight of his decision. He felt like he was betraying his memories with her but he had no other choice. His mother's threats had left him no room to maneuver.

Just then, his chauffeur, Mr. Kang, appeared at the door, his expression neutral. "Sir, someone is here to see you."

Minho's eyes narrowed, his mind still reeling from the conversation with his mother. "Who is it?" he asked curtly,  looking up from his phone.

But before Mr. Kang could respond, a figure appeared in the doorway, her presence like a ray of sunshine in the dimly lit room.

"Hi, Minho,"

"Seungmin ..."
