Minho's eyes narrowed as he strode towards Seungmin, his long legs eating up the distance between them. "You can go now" Minho said to Mr Kang. After Mr. Kang left, Minho shifted his gaze toward seungmin.Minho's eyes narrowed as he sneered at Seungmin, his voice laced with annoyance. "What are you doing here?"
Seungmin's response was calm, her eyes scanning the apartment. "Mom wanted me to visit the apartment where I'll be moving after marriage."
Minho's expression darkened, his anger simmering. "You have the audacity to come here when I told you I don't want to marry you? And you should reject this offer too!"
Seungmin's gaze never wavered, her tone even. "Then why did you say yes?"
Minho's eyes flashed with defensiveness. "I had a reason."
Seungmin's control began to slip, her patience wearing thin. "I have a reason too, Minho. It's not like I'm crazily in love with you and I would be lost without you. Get over yourself."
Minho's anger boiled over, his face reddening. "Are you provoking me?"
Seungmin ignored him, moving toward the living room with a deliberate calmness that only seemed to enrage Minho further. He grabbed her arm, pulling her back toward him with a force that made her stumble. "Get out and reject this offer now!"
Seungmin's eyes never left his face, her voice steady. "No."
Minho's grip tightened, his fingers digging into her skin. He pushed her forcefully, sending her stumbling backward. She hit her back against the sofa, the impact leaving her breathless.
Minho's eyes blazed with anger, his voice low and menacing. "I think you don't remember, but you said you didn't want to marry me when we first met. Now you've suddenly changed your mind. you want our money, right? You should have asked me, I would have given you as much as you want. The offer is still on Just back off from this marriage!"
That struck the nerve and seungmin lost her control, her words dripped with venom as she spoke "You know your mom, she stalked me for a whole month. And then she played her last card, emotional blackmailing. And I was foolish enough to fall for it, thinking I could change you. But no, no one can treat you, Minho. You are beyond repair. And don't blame me you are at fault too because your yes sealed this marriage, now where is your reputation huh?."
Minho's face twisted in rage, his eyes bulging as he took a step closer to Seungmin. They stood nose to nose, their breaths mingling in the charged air. "You're playing a dangerous game, Seungmin," Minho growled, his voice low and menacing.
Seungmin's gaze never wavered, her eyes flashing with defiance. "You don't know me, Minho," she hissed. "I'm not afraid of you. You can't intimidate me."
The tension between them was palpable, their bodies almost touching as they stood locked in a silent standoff. The air was heavy with unspoken threats, their eyes locked in a fierce battle of wills. Minho's jaw clenched, his fists trembling with restrained anger. Seungmin's chest heaved, her heart racing with adrenaline.
The silent standoff was abruptly broken by the shrill ring of Seungmin's phone, shattering the tension like a dropped glass. Seungmin's eyes never left Minho's face as she reached into her bag and retrieved her phone, her movements fluid and deliberate. She answered the call, her voice husky, and took a step back, creating distance between them.
Minho's gaze followed her, his eyes narrowed, his expression skeptical. He seemed to be daring her to take another step, to provoke him further.
After the call ended Seungmin turned to Minho and said "Mom and Dad invited you to dinner."
Minho's laughter was sarcastic, a harsh bark that sent a chill down Seungmin's spine. "And what made you think I would join it?" He sneered, his eyes rolling in disdain.
Seungmin expression transformed, a sly smile spreading across her face like a whispered secret, her eyes glinting with mischief, and her voice dripped with sweetness.
"You remember our first meeting, right? Then you must have remembered the reason you gave me for not wanting to marry me" She asked, her voice dripping with innocence, but her eyes gleaming with a knowing light.
Flashback
(The restaurant was dimly lit, the soft hum of conversation and clinking glasses creating a cozy ambiance. Minho and Seungmin sat facing each other, their eyes locked in a tense stare.
"I don't want to marry you," Minho said bluntly, his voice was low and firm.
Seungmin's expressions remained calm, her voice equally steady. "I don't want to either."
Minho's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. "I have many reasons, but one of them is my reputation at the office. I have an image to uphold. If they got to know I'm marrying a psychiatrist, they'll make fun of me behind my back because of something that happened in the past, and rumors will resurface."
Seungmin's lips curled into a faint smirk, her eyes rolling slightly. "Why are they so obsessed with their reputation?" she muttered under her breath.
Minho's gaze intensified, his voice taking on a defensive tone. "Mom said they'll hide your profession, but I know that's not a guarantee. If anyone gets suspicious or an enemy tries to expose me to damage my reputation, I can't afford it."
Seungmin's smile tightened, her eyes sparkling with a hint of annoyance. "Again, reputation," she thought, but her voice remained neutral. "I understand your concerns, Minho.")
End of Flashback
Seungmin's eyes sparkled with mischief as she spoke, her voice dripping with innocence. "Do you want me to come to your office and give your workers a free therapy session?" She batted her eyelashes, taunting him.
Minho's face turned red with rage, his eyes blazing with anger. "You are annoying as hell," he gritted his teeth, his voice low and menacing.
Seungmin's smiles grew wider, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Nah, I'm hot as hell," she retorted, her voice husky.
Minho's control snapped, his sanity fraying at the edges. He grabbed Seungmin's wrist, his grip like a vice, and dragged her towards the door. He flung her away, his eyes flashing with fury. Seungmin's words were cut off as he slammed the door shut in front of her.
"I'm really crazy, Minho! Don't underestimate me! I can do anything!" Seungmin's voice was muffled by the door, her words laced with a hint of warning.
The silence that followed was deafening, the only sound Seungmin's heavy breathing and the pounding of her heart. She stomped her foot on the ground, her frustration palpable.
Just then, her phone buzzed, a message from Minho flashing on the screen. "Send me the location and time." Seungmin's smile was victorious, her eyes gleaming with triumph. "All bark but no bite," she whispered, her voice dripping with satisfaction. With a flick of her hair, she turned and walked away, leaving Minho's pent-up anger and frustration to simmer behind closed doors.
