Police closed the case as a suicide." Changbin said.
Minho's eyes widened in disbelief. "But didn't that boy see Seungmin?"
Changbin nodded. "Yes, but he was drunk at the time, so his testimony wasn't considered credible."
Minho's face turned red with anger. "This is ridiculous!" he shouted, slamming the file onto the floor. "How can they just dismiss it like that?"
Changbin placed a calming hand on Minho's shoulder. "Minho, don't do anything reckless, okay? Give me more time to research and investigate. I'll get to the bottom of this."
Minho shook his head, his expression unyielding. "Do whatever you want to do, Changbin. I'm going to find out what really happened."
Changbin sighed and left the room, leaving Minho to his thoughts. But Minho couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The necklace, the boy's testimony, it all seemed too coincidental. He stood up, and left the room, his destination clear in his mind - to uncover the truth behind the suspicious events.
Seungmin's voice cracked as she pleaded with the girl to stay. "Please don't leave, he needs you at this time." She was desperate, her eyes welling up with tears.
The girl's expression was resolute, but her voice trembled. "I can't stay with someone who killed his own brother, our brother. I'm sorry, Seungmin." Her voice laced with pain, hurt, anger and betrayal.
Seungmin's face contorted in anguish as she begged her to reconsider. "Please, don't go! He was already suffering. If you leave him too, he won't be able to survive."
The girl's resolve began to crumble, and tears rolled down her face. She reached out and handed Seungmin a delicate necklace. "Here, take this. I'll be in contact with you I promise. Please take care of yourself."
With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Seungmin shattered and alone.
Seungmin sat up with a jolt, her hand instinctively reaching for the necklace around her neck. She was breathing rapidly, and sweat covered her body as she looked around, disoriented.
As her gaze adjusted to the hospital room, she saw a familiar face smiling down at her. "Hello, Seungmin," said Bangchan, her friend and trusted doctor.
Seungmin's eyes widened in surprise. "Bangchan? How am I here?"
"Changbin dropped you here," Bangchan said, his expression shifting from concern to anger. His eyes flashed with a hint of irritation, but he quickly composed himself.
"Changbin?" Seungmin repeated, her face scrunched in confusion. "Minho's secretary?" she added, looking at Bangchan for clarification.
Bangchan nodded calmly. "Yes, that's right. Changbin is Minho's secretary."
Seungmin's eyes narrowed slightly. "I know him, but how do you two know each other?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
"We are childhood best friends," Bangchan said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. He paused for a moment before adding, "Minho too."
Seungmin's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, what?!" she exclaimed, her mind racing with questions. "But I didn't see you two together, not even once."
Bangchan chuckled. "Well, that's a story for another time."
Before Bangchan could continue, Seungmin grasped his hand and gently pulled him down to sit at the edge of the bed.
"If you two know each other, then the girl Minho was talking about, is she the same girl that I know?, You must have seen her." Seungmin asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
