Lee Minho's hand moved swiftly, the broken bottle slicing across Seungmin's skin just below her right ear. The sound of shattering glass filled the air as Minho dropped the bottle, his eyes gleaming with a malevolent intensity. He let out a menacing laugh, the sound sending chills down Seungmin's spine.

A single tear rolled down Seungmin's cheek. Minho's words cut deeper than the physical wound, his venomous tone piercing her soul. "You're really crazy, Seungmin. Or should I say, you're really selfish?" he sneered. "What pleasure do you get from forcing yourself on others?."

Minho's hand reached out, his fingers scratching the scar he had inflicted on her skin. Seungmin's breathing came in short gasps, her body trembling. Tears streamed down her face. Minho's words dripping with cruelty. "I hope when you die, you'll be alone. Because of your behavior, no one will ever love you."

After Minho's cruel words and actions, he callously pushed Seungmin away, sending her stumbling backward. Without a second glance, he turned and strode toward his room, leaving Seungmin distraught.

Seungmin's legs felt like jelly as she made her way to her own room, her body trembling with anguish. She managed to reach the door and slid down the door, her back against the cold wood.

She sat there, her head in her hands, her body racked with sobs. The tears she had held back earlier now flowed freely, streaming down her face like a river. Her mind reeled with the past memories.

Flashback

Seungmin found herself in a small, dimly lit room, the only light coming from a lone lamp that cast flickering shadows on the walls. The air was heavy with tension as she approached the bed, where a boy sat with his knees drawn up to his chest, his arms wrapped tightly around them. His head was bowed, his forehead pressed against his knees, and his body shook with silent sobs.

The boy's forearm was smeared with dried blood, evidence of a recent cut.

"Stop being so selfish, Seungmin," the boy whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "Why don't you leave me alone? Why do you have to force yourself on me?" He repeated the words like a mantra, his body shaking with each utterance.

Seungmin's heart broke at the anguish in his voice. She felt a sob rise up in her throat, and she couldn't hold it back. "Don't say it, please," she begged, her voice barely above a whisper. "Don't say it." She reached out a trembling hand, hesitating just short of touching his arm.

The boy's eyes flashed up, his gaze locking onto hers with a mix of pain and anger. "You have no right to cry," he hissed, his voice venomous. "You have no right to feel sorry for me."

End of Flashback

Seungmin's gaze drifted back into focus, her eyes locking onto the boy sitting beside her. His hand still rested on her shoulder, a gentle weight that grounded her in the present moment. She took in the sight of him, her heart skipping a beat, he was looking so beautiful sitting there and he was in the same dress she had last seen him in, stained with his own blood.

His eyes, filled with a deep sadness, met hers, and he offered a faint smile. "You know I didn't mean that," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Seungmin's tears continued to fall, but she smiled back at him, a small, tremulous movement of her lips. She nodded slightly, acknowledging his words, and the boy's gaze dropped to her face, his eyes tracing the path of her tears.

His hand on her shoulder shifted, and he reached out to touch the cut. His fingers traced the scar gently. "Did he hurt you badly?" he asked, his voice filled with concern and empathy.

Seungmin shook her head, her tears still falling, and whispered, "It didn't hurt anymore because you're here." The boy's smile grew wider, and he gestured for her to come closer. "Silly," he said, his voice filled with warmth.

Seungmin didn't hesitate, she wrapped her arms around him, and he enveloped her in a gentle embrace. She rested her head on his chest, finding the warmth in the coldness of his body, his chest was still, quiet, lifeless void of any heart, it's painful that she couldn't feel his heart beat anymore  but it's okay he is here that's enough. He covered her with his arms, holding her close.

"Hyunjin," she whispered.

Hyunjin hummed in response.

"I saw the same hopelessness and pain and agony in Minho's eyes that I once saw in your eyes," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "And I couldn't help but tremble in fear when he broke that bottle. I thought history was going to repeat itself. He was going to hurt himself."

Seungmin's body shook with sobs as she remembered the terror she felt in that moment. Hyunjin's arms tightened around her, holding her closer.

"Then help him, Seungmin," Hyunjin whispered, his voice filled with encouragement.

But Seungmin's eyes clouded over, and she shook her head. "He didn't trust me, Hyunjin. He didn't want me." Her voice cracked, and she looked away, her gaze falling on the floor.

Hyunjin's expression softened, and he reached out to gently lift her chin. "Make him, Seungmin. He is your present and future, maybe that can heal the guilt of your past and help you recover too." His eyes shone with conviction, and his voice was filled with hope.

Seungmin's eyes flashed back to his, and her face pale. "I don't want to heal," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Hyunjin's smile faltered. "Seungmin, don't say that"

She shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. "You will disappear, then," she said, her voice trembling. "You will leave me again like you did before"

Hyunjin's face softened, and he opened his arms again. "I will never leave you again, Seungmin. I promise."

Seungmin's gaze wavered, and she felt her resolve crumbling. Hyunjin enveloped her in an embrace.  She felt herself falling into a dark abyss and then everything went black.
