Max:

Oh my god. Max thought as his eyes widened finally realizing who his roommate is, feeling enraged by the sight of Bradley.

"Oh"

he replied to Bradley's appearance feeling it was the only appropriate thing to say at the moment. He could see how bad Bradley felt through his face and it was odd seeing him in a sympathetic way, it was odd that he knew how much his presence had angered Max. It made him feel bad for being so irritated with this set up.
Breaking the awkward silence, Bradley finally responds

"I'm sorry Max, I didn't know you were my roommate, I mean if I did I would have-"

"It's not your fault Brad..ley..."

Max interrupted, also fixing his mistake, waiting for Bradley to get angry with him. But Bradley didn't, he merely smiled a bit to his correction and returned to his face of sorrow.

"Do you want to ask to switch rooms? I understand if you do"

Said Bradley

And max thought about it, maybe he could forgive Bradley, maybe Brad deserved a second chance to redeem himself, and maybe, he could be a fun roommate.

"Nah...I think we'll be okay"

He said half smiling while he looked at Bradley.

"If I can call you Brad..."

He said a bit quieter as he gave Bradley puppy eyes

Bradley raised his eyebrows looking deeply irritated and disgusted but after a few seconds he replied

"Absolutely not."
He snapped rolling his eyes

"Ugh"
Max said making his way toward the fridge, opening it.

He wasn't surprised to see no food there. He knew there wasn't food, though he wished there was.

"I was going to wait to go shopping with you, that way we can both agree on things"

Bradley reply's to Max's thoughts, leaning against the wall in the kitchen entrance

"Wow that is actually smart, I didn't know you were capable of smart"

Bradley looked max up and down with disgust all over his face

"I'm not a mirror, max."

"Tshh"
Max didn't want to but he had to admit that it was a bit of a funny insult.

Max's phone started to vibrate as he turned away from Bradley checking who it was, of course it was his group chat

"Pj: guys let's go out for dinner, on me, trust 🙏🏻."

"Bobby: I mean if you're paying I can't turn down the offer 😏"

Max looked at his phone concentrating hard on if he had to do anything, dinner would be nice and there really wasn't any food at his dorm yet. On the other hand he could turn down his friends and go get groceries with Brad to get it over with, gosh this whole thing was just miserable he thought, referring to the fact he had to be nice...to Bradley...ugh.

It wasn't like Bradley was horrible, first impression of this school year he still seemed like a crazy moody jerk but he seemed tolerable and capable of being a good college dorm mate.

Still contemplating, he got another message from the group chat

"Pj: we're coming to your dorm maxamillion"

"Bobby: mhm mhm"

Max gasped, looking for Bradley but finding that he was nowhere to be found...where'd he go?...

Max didn't really want to go out tonight anyway and as much as he hated turning down his friends, it was better to keep a good focused mindset.

"Max: guys im really not feeling it tonight, I also have a lot of stuff to get done and not much time. Maybe this weekend though?"

"Bobby: aww 😔 guess we'll turn around then..."

Feeling relief wash all over him, he headed to the couch and sat, closing his eyes momentarily. It had been such a long day and a confusing one at that. Well at least it was over, and tomorrow wouldn't even be that bad, he thought to himself.

When his eyes opened, Bradley was sitting on the other side of the couch, his arm on the arm rest as he was watching his phone.

He looked so peaceful, not as interested on whatever was on his phone but his company felt good in a way max couldn't quite place, and he didn't like that it felt good, because this was Bradley. Shaking it off, he started another conversation

"Well we should fix the kitchen problem..."

It was quiet for a second as Bradley slowly turned his head. Smirking a bit

"I really can't disagree"
Said Bradley

"I'll grab my keys"
He added, sitting up from the couch and making his way back to his room

And in a matter of 5 minutes they were out the door and Bradley was starting his car, his nice, red, fancy car. Off to the grocery store they went.
