Just a dream?

I'm back after my little break...!

Bradley:

Waking up the next morning, Bradley had been grateful it was a weekend because he most definitely could not do classes today. He had a pounding headache and a heavy urge to fall back asleep not to mention his eye that was sore as hell. He started to fade back into his dreams when he started to remember last night.

He remembered how he had come home with a black eye and how max had helped him, then he remembered how tank had given him that black eye when he had punched him, and tank had punched him because he had written an apology letter to the gamas that they definitely did not accept. He felt so stupid, he just wanted friends again and to not be so isolated all the time. He could say he didn't care but he felt like he did even when he forced himself not to and this just proved how Bradley he wanted them back.

Come to think of it, he hadn't actually tried to make new friends, he couldn't really complain about having no friends if he didn't at least try make ones and he definitely wouldn't be hurt by doing that. He didn't know who he would befriend but he decided he would try from now on.

Suddenly there was a nock on his door followed by max entering.

Bradley was confused and startled by his sudden appearance, he hadn't even waited for an answer before barging into the room, that was pretty rude.

"Hey Bradley, how's your eye doing? I just want to check on it before I head out"

Said Max as he was tightening his belt to his pants.

He looked nice, he smelt nice. Bradley had wondered where max was going especially so early in the morning. Maybe he had a date, that's odd wouldn't he tell Bradley? No of course not, he had no reason to tell Bradley, Bradley didn't need to know however Bradley wanted to know.

"I don't need you to check in on me, I'm not some sick child Max."

Replied Bradley with an agitated tone as he rolled his eyes

"Where are you going, anyway?"

He asked, the curiosity getting the best of him. He really didn't want to pry but he couldn't help asking the burning question that only took about 30 seconds to ask.

"Oh..uhhh I'm going to my dads work ceremony, it's all the way back in town so I'll be out all day and I won't make it back till late, do you need anything before I go??"

Asked Max as he tucked his shirt into his pants and looked up at Bradley with a friendly questioning gaze.

Bradley couldn't help but feel relief that it wasn't a date that max was off to and he couldn't pin point why he felt that way but it was very weird. It was interesting how much max cared for Bradley especially with how he treats Max. It seems like the only time they get along is when they go shopping but now max was trying to step out of the routine and it was almost like...he was trying to be friends? No no they wouldn't be friends.

"No, I don't need anything. If I do I can get it myself. I'll probably be resting most of the day anyway. I hope you have fun with your dad though Max"

Said Bradley and he meant what he said. It was odd for him to say that but he did mean it. The only thing he for sure needed was a big glass of water and some ibuprofen but he would grab that once Max had left.

Once max had exited the room Bradley started to doze off, he faintly heard the sound of the door opening and closing after Max's voice shouting something, after that it was complete silence and Bradley had started to fall into sleep.

The sun was so bright as it was setting, it felt nice and warm I could just close my eyes and enjoy the feeling. I laid my head back against the bench as the sound of the water fountain soothed me. Everything felt so relaxing and I've never seen campus square be so empty and quiet.

The refreshing feeling of the water fountain had left me in a haze as I heard a voice from behind it.

"It's nice isn't it Bradley?"

And of course, it was Max who had interrupted my peaceful moment. I opened my eyes reluctantly to glare at him.

"Aww don't look at me like that. Your eyes look even prettier in this lighting"

Said Max as he smiled at me, the look he gave me brought deep confusion to me. It was like I was the most perfect thing to him in the world even after I treat him the way I do. Like he's seeing me...for me?

"T-thank you..Max"

What? Why am I thanking him, I should feel insulted but I'm flustered. Gah this is so stupid, he's stupid!! Is he joking with me? And I'm completely falling for it.

As he approached me, the same stupid little smile in his face, as if it were a gaze I couldn't help but feel the butterflies flutter, wondering what he was going to do.

His hand reached my chin, he lifted my face

"Your skin is just glowing, I can't help but admire your every feature."

He added as he moved my whole face, well, I let him. Everything felt so perfect. I can't help but fall into this perfect feeling and his perfect words.

Max crouched down to meet my eyes while I remained sitting on the bench watching his every move. I must look stupid.

Both his hands had met my face and cupped it as he continued to admire me, desperately.

I couldn't help myself as I leaned into him not even sure what I wanted or expected.

Max leaned in as well, and there it happened and I had no idea what to feel. Max's lips were on mine and I just felt at peace and content.

Soon enough, Max's lips parted from mine and we caught our breath

"Well, you really needed that didn't you Bradley?"

The same face he had made before had returned again and I felt myself drowning in a hot gushy mess that I felt forced to hate.

Bradley had soon woken up and felt very uneasy. What kind of dream was that?! How did Bradley not even realize it was a dream?

Never mind the dream, there was a smell of something good cooking coming from the kitchen. How long was he asleep for? It seems like Max is already home. Bradley felt a feeling of nervousness about Max's presence and his dream definitely had something to do with that.
