Bradley:

Finally lunch, he sighed in relief as he made his way out of the classroom. He didn't have any one to enjoy lunch with and that had made him feel the slightest bit of sorrow but he shook it off. It was a chance to start his studies early, it was a good thing, he convinced himself as he made his way back to his dorm. He also had to  finish settling into his dorm room. He no longer had anymore classes so he was free for the rest of the day, he wondered if his roommate would soon arrive and maybe he could start fresh and make a friend finally.

Once he had gotten into his dorm and started to organize all his cloths and decorations he began to remember his history class, someone in his class had to have been his roommate he nodded to himself. Bradley's reasoning being the faint scent of cologne in the room that was the same as the one in the dorm this morning. He was absolutely fine with it being any dude in that room. Well, any dude besides...well besides Max Goof. Bradley had not had much of a problem with Max much longer and he was ready to forget as he had already apologized and things had turned out just fine between them besides the mutual understanding that they would NEVER be friends. Max had held some sort of grudge, whether he'd ever admit that or not Bradley could tell it was there and he sure was a bit anxious to interact once more after the summer had ended.

Anyways, Bradley thought in his head as he made his way to put a paper towel holder on the kitchen counter. He had realized there hadn't really been anything to eat at the dorm  besides bread and a few small snacks brought by his unknown roommate. He wanted to go shopping but he thought it would be best to go with his roommate and let them pick out things together every week. It was a friendly idea to him and he was excited to finally have some company other than his family. He smiled at the idea of coming to the dorm after a long school day to a nice friend he could rant to and listen to as well, even if he had sounded gushy and corny with his thought he still wanted it.

Finally being unpacked, he pulled out his computer from under his night stand and began schoolwork while sitting legs crossed on his bed, Bradley had put on his reading glasses, he would never be caught wearing these in-front of anyone as he was so embarrassed of the fact he had to wear glasses but they just made things easier for him and no one was even here so he felt safe.

After a few hours of reading, writing, small breaks, and hard thinking, he was finished. He smiled in relaxation after he clicked submit and  closed his laptop, gently setting it under his nightstand to charge. He now had nothing to do but wait for his roommate to arrive, nothing to do, he thought about his options to pass time. He could go for a run, or go find the new pool that was built over summer break, he could go grocery shopping without his roommate although that was definitely not an option. He didn't want to exercise if he was being honest, and the pool seemed like a long adventure he didn't want to do alone. He could most definitely watch tv though he thought as he made his way to the living room and grabbed the remote, taking a seat on the nice couch that was provided in the dorm. He decided on Judge Julie and places the remote on the arm rest as he slowly dozed off.

A good 30 minutes had passed before he had received an alarming call from his mother, it woke him right up and had him feeling around for his phone. He rushed to his room and quickly picked up the phone. "Hi mom!!" He said with enthusiasm as he began to make his way back to the couch pausing the Tv.

"I wanted to check in! How was your first day of junior year?!" "Are you liking your classes, how is your dorm?? Is your roommate nice?!"

As much as he loved his mom there were so many questions she asked in a matter of 10 seconds. She smothered him with all her love so often, he had always been her favorite out of his 3 siblings and he was grateful to be loved so much by her but it was very easy to get so overwhelmed with her love at times.

"Yes yes the classes were very good mom, I actually haven't met my dorm mate yet but the dorm is clean and everything has been situated nicely"

he said as he glanced at his roommates room.

"Oohhhh fantastic!! You really need some friends and im sure this roommate will keep you company while I'm unable to see my smart boy"

she replied and he could tell how excited she was

"I really hope so mom, it would be nice to have some good friends again after..well everything that had happened last year"

He sighed remembering how the X games went down.

"I know sweetheart, just remember we all miss you here, you know actually your brother was just saying-"

Just as his mom started to ramble about Bradley's brother Jayden, the door nob turned

Bradley's eyes widened in excitement knowing he would get to meet his roommate now

"Hey mom I love you but I really gotta go, call you soon!!"

He rushed as he hang up the phone running to his room and shutting the door.

He heard the mysterious roommate shut the door and walk into his room. What to do now? Should he just walk into the living room and wait for him to come into the kitchen? He started to bite his nail, something he often did when he was anxious. Well, he did have the tv paused and he should probably go turn it off he thought as he started to open his door and walk toward the tv.

"Is that you roommate?!"

A familiar voice called from the other room and Bradley's heart dropped to his stomach, he knew that voice. And he now knew who is roommate was, as his roommate, Max Goof entered the kitchen.
