Before we start, here's some background context:
This is a combination of the game Genshin Impact and Epic the Musical, made by Jorge Rivera Herrans, which is about the Odyssey and the Illiad from Greek mythology.

It's the Fontanians (and others) reaction to Epic: The musical, if it was created in Fontaine, a nation from the game Genshin Impact, as an actual musical that quickly gained much popularity and is famous across Teyvat.

I can imagine that in this universe, Furina being the one helping write the script or doing it, and then after a few musicals and it gained popularity, she was being begged left right center to play the lead role and she eventually accepted it because it would be fun and her new friends would also be part of it. She's sure this is the first and last time she would play Odysseus, the main character, though. But who knows...?

Furina de Fontaine as Odysseus.
Part of the audience:
-Clorinde, Neuvillette, Charlotte, Lyney, Lynette, Freminet, Navia, Chevreuse, Arlecchino Wriothesley, Chiori.
-Venti, Zhongli, Raiden Ei, Nahida
(Probably some of their people too, just throw 'em all in there, who cares if they have jobs to do and that's kidnapping?)

Let's begin.

-

To say Furina was nervous was an understatement.

She knew perfectly well what could go wrong during her performance, especially during some more... relatable scenes.

She had been part of the musical's creation and influenced a large part of it, of course she knew what was going to be happening. She knew that this was a big step for her... to try and move past all that guilt and pain, to become... her.

This was a chance to finally heal past wounds, and it was going to be a difficult endeavour. She just hoped that they would understand better, the things that she did and didn't do.
-
Neuvillette felt stiff.

Granted, he was immensely happy that Furina had gathered up enough courage to play the lead role in the extremely popular musical that she had helped make come to life, but he was undeniably worried about what might happen.

What if she couldn't take it? What would she do then? He stressed about the multiple ways this could go, and so it wasn't very surprising that the clouds in the sky today were dark. He knew he had a bad habit of underestimating her strength, but he couldn't help but worry. No matter what, he swore internally to support her through it all.

He wasn't going to let her down again.
-
While Venti looked as if he couldn't sit still for even one more second, Zhongli was sipping tea relaxingly, observing the stage with interest.

Ei was looking around warily as if someone was going to jump at her, but it was likely she just wasn't used to the number of people here.

Nahida was happily chatting away with some random Fontanian who had recognised her about the musical and was learning new information about it with interest.

"Zhongli! Is it starting? I think it's starting soon!" Venti was almost hopping up and down with the sure excitement he felt, and the overwhelming energy made the older man sigh. "Calm down, Venti. Please sit still and wait patiently."

To which he was promptly ignored.
-
Charlotte was busily snapping away with her camera, looking positively thrilled to be here. Sitting near her, Chevreuse and Chiori exchanged looks, knowing that the reporter was going to be doing it throughout the entire musical. Also sitting near Charlotte were some people from the House of the Hearth. Mainly Freminet, Lyney, Lynette and their "father".

"This is going to be so exciting." Lyney piped up, staring down at the stage with enthusiasm. "I've heard only great things about this musical, and with Miss Furina as the leading actress, I bet it'd be even greater!" Lynette and Freminet nodded and expressed their agreement, while Arlecchino simply stayed quiet, observing.
-
"Clorinde, isn't this so interesting? I can't wait to see it for myself. Everyone has been speaking about it recently, and I'm excited to see it in person." Navia turned to the Champion Duelist beside her with a wide smile.

"Indeed. I think it would shatter both our expectations." Clorinde nodded, with a thoughtful expression on her face. Navia chuckled, knowing why she looked that way. "Don't worry so much, and just enjoy the show. We both know this will be a good thing for her, a chance to do what she loves and express herself."

At that, Wriothesley, seated on the other side of Clorinde, nudged Neuvillette with his shoulder, making the Iudex jolt out of his thoughts and face the duke with a questioning expression.

"Yes, do be less worried. Besides, she's surrounded by people who care for her on stage. She'll be fine. In fact, this is the perfect time for her to be herself and to show others who she truly is." Wriothesley shot Neuvillette a look, making the Chief Justice turn away sheepishly. He faced the stage with a hopeful look on his face.

Good luck, Furina. Let the world see who you really are.
