Full Speed Ahead

Music has such a vibe that people start jamming, relaxing despite what they just witnessed. We can't blame them- The song is such a bop.

"Six hundred men, six hundred men under my command.  With only one goal in mind (make it back alive to our homeland)"
This is when people are reminded of the current circumstances. Some are curious about Furina being in the leading position in this musical. Some approve, others don't really. Not because of her singing or acting, she’s amazingly talented at that, but rather because of her position and the songs that Odysseus is going to sing that make it so controversial. This is why Furina was quite adamant about being in the musical at first, but eventually gave in.

"Six hundred men, six hundred miles of open sea. But the problem isn't the distance (it's what lies in between)"
People are very curious at the monsters that are going to likely appear and how the cast was going to have to deal with them. Since this doesn’t take place in Fontaine, or even Teyvat. They wonder how different they are. Are there also ruin guards there? They didn't know much about the world the play takes part in. Is it similar to Teyvat or very different?

"And Ithaca's waiting (Ithaca's waiting). My kingdom is waiting (the kingdom is waiting)"
Fontanians raising their eyebrows, wondering if Furina would really sound so happy about returning to her homeland: Fontaine. Some are sad at that, thinking she wouldn't. Some are frustrated, and some are just plain confused or don't give an utter shit.

"Penelope's waiting for me."
They raise their eyebrows again at how much Odysseus seems happier about going back to Penelope than Ithaca, which makes sense for Odysseus, but for Furina? Who would be that person for her to sing so joyfully about...?
(Insert Neuvillette's sad face.)

"So full speed ahead, full speed ahead..."
Many are in awe and in love with Furina's voice and her talented singing skills. She’s so amazing and musically talented. People who have never heard her sing before are blown away, awfully surprised the former Archon could sing so well. When did she have time to learn how to sing that beautifully? Some wonder with curiosity, some with accusation in their eyes.

???: Captain.
"Eurylochus."
"Oh? Who's this?" "What sort of name is that."

"E: Six hundred men with big mouths to feed, and we've run out of supplies to eat (curse the war, our food store's depleted)." People curse, nodding in acknowledgement at the harsh reality that the cast is in currently. They ran out of food. That can't be a good thing. What shall they do?

"Six hundred reasons to take what we can. So captain, what's the plan?"
People are curious as to what's she's going to say. Odysseus would have a cunning and logical plan, one that doesn't mind breaking a few laws- they're alright with the idea of sacking any towns they come by. But Furina would probably not, being way too kind until someone complains and she falters in resolve.

"Watch where the birds fly
They will lead us to land
There we'll hunt for food, my second in command. "
"Does that actually work?" Some murmur.
Meanwhile, others are making a mental note that Eurylochus is the second in command.

"Now full speed ahead."
We're up, we're off, and away we go
(We're up, we're off, and away we go)
People vibing to the song and appreciating Furina's singing, as they obviously should.

???: Captain
"Polites!"
"Polites?" "Again, who's that?" "A crew member, duh."

P: Look! There in the distance, I see an island. I see a light that faintly glows
Maybe they're people lighting a fire
Maybe they'll share some food, who knows?
"Aw, that's great! They're so lucky."
"Sounds like an obvious trap."
". . . . . ."
The two people stare at each other.

"Something feels off here, I see fire, but there's no smoke."
Observant and smart, Arlecchino and some others muse to themselves. They start imagining what might happen on the island, what sort of trap lies in wait, and how Odysseus was going to have to find a way to overcome it. It's not going to be easy... Since when did things go smoothly anyway?

E: I say we strike first, we don't have time to waste. So let's raid the place and-
"No. Polites gear up, you and I'll go ahead."
P:You and I'll go ahead!
"We should try to find a way no one ends up dead."
Eyes widen. Fontanians start realising that Furina not listening to others and instead deciding on her own, taking charge and commanding others sternly, leaving no room for argument is actually kind of rare when she’s still Archon, at least for those who don’t know her too well and haven’t really seen her appearances in Fontaine. When they used to think of Furina, they imagine a cheery and boastful person who is very lively and friendly. This is... not it.

E: We don't know what's ahead
"True, this sounds risky..."

"Give me til sunrise, and if we don't return..."
"Then six hundred men can make this whole place burn."
Some people laugh in shock at the nonchalance, a few Fontanians chuckling, knowing this kind of dramatics used to be really common for Furina. They are oblivious to the fact that Odysseus is actually being serious. Because, well, they don’t all know him that well yet. They haven't read the Odyssey or the Illiad, likely ‘cause it doesn’t exist there which is such a pity.
And also the fact that Odysseus is being played by Furina, who is widely known in Fontaine for being loud and dramatic.
They're just going to have to see how serious he was about it later...
