Alex lounged on the couch, bored and restless, and an idea popped into her head.
She cleared her throat, catching Taylor's attention. "Hey, babe, what do you say we go on a picnic this afternoon? The weather is beautiful, and I'm feeling cooped up inside."
Taylor looked up from her laptop, considering the suggestion. "A picnic, huh? That does sound nice," she said, a smile tugging at her lips. "I could use a break from this songwriting and a breath of fresh air."
Taylor chuckled, amused by Alex's enthusiasm. "Okay, deal." She powered off her laptop and stood up, stretching her arms above her head.
Alex's face lit up, excited that Taylor agreed to her idea. "Perfect! We'll pack some snacks, grab a blanket, and head to the park. It will be like a mini escape into nature."
Taylor, seeing Alex's giddy excitement, chuckled and said, "Alright, let's go, Bubbles. Let's get this picnic underway."
As they reached the park, Alex scanned the area until she found the perfect spot near a quiet lake. The sun shone overhead, and a soft breeze blew through the trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
"This looks like a great spot," she exclaimed, spreading out a blanket on soft grass.
Taylor nodded in agreement, admiring the scenery. "It looks beautiful here," she said as she dropped the basket filled with snacks. She settled down on the blanket, her gaze drifting to the sparkling lake in front of them.
Alex sat down next to Taylor, her eyes reflecting the serene beauty of the surroundings.
"Just imagine, we have this whole lakeside to ourselves,"
she sighed, leaning back on her elbows.
"It feels like we're in our own little world right now."
Taylor smiled, her hand reaching for a sandwich from the basket.
"I can see why you wanted to come here," Taylor said, taking a bite of her sandwich.
"It's so peaceful, with the sound of the water and the birds chirping. I almost forgot about the chaos of the world beyond this spot."Alex, never one to pass up an opportunity to capture a moment, pulled out her phone and aimed it at Taylor and herself.
"Come closer, babe," she said, gesturing for Taylor to lean closer.
Grabbing the chance to be playful, Taylor leaned in and planted a series of quick kisses on Alex's cheeks, making a little show of it.
"There, there, and there," Taylor counted with each kiss, giggling.
Alex couldn't help but laugh as she recorded the adorable moment, capturing Taylor's joyful expressions and the affection between them. "You're so cute, you know that?" she said, still recording.
Seeing the camera still recording, Taylor decided to take it up a notch. She gently grabbed Alex's chin and pulled her closer, covering her face in playful kisses.
"Mwah, mwah, mwah," she exclaimed, planting kisses on Alex's cheeks, nose, and forehead.
Alex, still managing to capture the adorable moment on video, couldn't stop laughing between the barrage of kisses.
"Stop, stop, you're gonna make me drop my phone," Alex protested, her laughter cutting into her words. "I'm trying to document this cute moment, and you're turning it into an ambush of smooches."
Taylor chuckled, her lips lingering just an inch away from Alex's. "But can you blame me? You're so adorable when you're trying to concentrate , I just want to kiss every inch of your face."
