Experiment 18- Newt fanfic

Chapter 13: The Hunger Games and Issac

⚠️ SPOILERS FOR THE HUNGER GAMES⚠️

Once supper rolls around it's a gone show. The Gladers are talking and screaming like usual but this time they seem more laid back and happy.

I hand out the drinks like usual then ones I'm finished with that I go to my old room.

"Ok. Newt wants a sweater.. I got his measurements earlier.."

I grab my roll of dark green will and start the crochet process. After about an hour of it someone knocks on my door.

"Vi?" It's Newt's voice.

"Yeah?"

"Can I come in? They sent up another box for you"

"Yes. Come in"

He walks into what once was his room. It's now covered in fabrics, string and other random stuff.

"Here's your box" he puts it down beside the old one.

"Thanks Newt." I smile.

"I'd stay but unfortunately I have to go back with the Gladers."

"Ok. See you around" I smile. He turns on his heel and walks out.

I climb out of my bed and check the crate inside has clothes, hygiene products and at the bottom is a book.

The Hunger Games

"Ooh.. A book.." I pick it up and look it over. It looks like a normal book.

I climb back on my bed and read until I fall asleep.

"Wake up Vivian" Newt's voice says.

"Ugh" I attempt to pick up my pillow and hit his head.

Newt laughs. "Nice try Love." He takes the pillow from under my head.

"Hey!" I yelp shooting up. "Not cool"

"I know." He smiles. "Time to get ready"

"Ugh" I say again getting out of bed with a stretch. "I got a book in my box."

Newt raises his eyebrows. "A book?"

I grab the book from off the chair and hand it to him.

"Hunger Games" he looks up at me. "What's that?"

"It's where 2 kids from district 1-12 are sent into an arena to fight to the death till one remains"

"Fun" Newt replys handing my book back to me.

"Yeah. I'm on about chapter 11" I smile.

"You got it yesterday and your on chapter 11?" He asks.

"Yeah, I stayed up wayyy to late last night" I grin. "Yet somehow I still have energy!"

Newt sighs. "Let's go"

We walk into  the kitchen.

"Hello Vi, Hello Newt" Frypan says. "We have everything we need for know so you get the day off"

"Really?" I say grinning.

"Yeah go have fun" Fry says.
