I wake up to the sound of voices.
"Why did you gaslight Vivian?" Newt's voice asks.
"What do you mean?" That's Frypan.
"I give up" he sighs. "I'm going to get Vi for breakfast"
"You do that" I can hear Fry's grin.
I hear the door squeak open. "Morning"
"Oh you're awake. It's time for breakfast. I also saved you a pie." Newt says.
I perk up. "Pie?"
"Yeah, apple and peach."
"Exactly what I collected yesterday" I mumble.
"Yeah"
"Ok I'm coming" I climb out of bed. "Let's go"
"Um.. Are you going to change?" He asks.
I look down at my black and grey pj pants and black tank-top. Not that bad. "Nah"
"Alright" We walk out to the kitchen.
"Hey Vi, Hi Newt" Ian says when we walk in.
"Hi Ian" I smile.
Newt leaves my side walking to the fridge. "Apple or Peach?"
"Doesn't matter." I tell him sitting down at the island.
"Apple. Or. Peach." He says again.
"Doesn't matter" I say again.
"Which bloody pie do you want?!"
"Apple I guess" I say.
"Thank you" he says bring me a slice.
"Of course" he smiles the crinkles in the corner of his eyes become more noticable.
Once I finish I hand my dish to Fry. "What do you need me to do?"
"Could you go get some veggies?" Fry asks.
"Sure" I walk out Newt following me. I grab a basket.
"Here I'll do it" Newt grabs his own basket.
"I can do it. You can go do your work." I tell him.
"It's fine I can help." He tells me.
"No seriously I can do it" I tell him.
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"No... But I'll figure it out. You've missed work a lot to help me!"
"It's fine. We have enough Track-hoes to do the work I can help you." He says.
I grunt. "Fine"
He beams. "Then it's settled. Let's go"
We walk over to the garden.
"Thank you Newt."
"Of course" he smiles. "Could you go ask what veggies he needs?"
"Sure" I waddle off to the kitchen.
"Your back" Fry says.
"Yeah what veggies do you need?"
"Carrots, cucumbers, I'm making my stew" he says.
"Oh ok" I walk back to Newt where he has a chair on the grass just beside the garden.
"What does he need?" Newt asks.
